I am in the IDES process and I'm not sure what step I'm on. Hard to get answers from my peblo so seeing if you guys have any insight. Haven't been notified if determined fit or unfit yet but wondering if since the VA is under compensation and review of evidence that means they found me unfit and sent it to the VA. Any insight? I'm on Camp Lejeune.
My timeline is as follows:

IDES PROCESS
May 10, 2017- Package Submitted to PEB
May 18, 2017- PEB accepted my case via MOL
**Not sure when it changed but ebenefits says compensation and review of evidence.

My guess is you are 2-4 weeks from proposed ratings.

I'm Navy. I've been at the Va for almost a month.

just called the VA. They said they are reviewing the evidence and are not requesting anymore at this time. So obviously they have it and are working on it... that being said does this mean i was found unfit??

No. Pensacola. If you're at the Va then that means you have been found unfit

From what I know I'm pretty sure I'm at the VA. I called them today and asked the status and they said they are done collecting evidence and ad won't requesting anymore and are currently reviewing it.

Called the PEB today and they said they still have my package and it hasn't been adjudicated yet. Said in a couple weeks I'd hear word. If they still have it why would the VA say they are working on my case?

@burressboy81 You should have asked the PEB if they forwarded it to the VA. The 1-800 number at the VA is worthless. They have no idea 99% of the time. The prob have your case because after the first meeting with the MSC, the Va has your stuff. They're just basically waiting on the PEB for them to proceed.

I know it sucks at this point, but just try to remain calm, be patient and don't get agitated to the point you start calling people. You never want to get someone to the point where they do your stuff just to get it done. You want the person who reviews your case to want to help you.

I will say I wasn't exactly happy with my proposed rating from the VA for my boardable condition, I wasn't happy with the fact that I got 0% for my migraines, however, I was happy with how quickly it got turned.

Now I'm waiting again. Waiting for my OAC attorney to finish his piece, waiting for my doctor to finish her piece. Its like running a marathon and having the finish line in sight, but then having to stop for a train.

Yeah the process is just frustrating. They should have made it more oriented towards the service member transisitioning. Like having set end dates and etc.

So basically the VA has my stuff but won't review it and create ratings until the PEB finds me fit or unfit? That's what confused me most. Most people have said that if the VA has your case you've been found unfit.

Okay so on eBenefits my estimated completion date changed from 9/27/2017-1/31/2018 to 10/02/2017-2/13/2018. Time line updated below.

Ignore E-benefits for the most part is what my VA MSC told me. He said while your case is initially being worked, the package may be in a different stage than where it is reflecting on your e-benefits.

Case in point, if you look at my signature, within three days it went from Preparation for Decision (23 May) to Pending Decision Approval (31 May) and then I had my package in hand on 2 June, but my status is still sitting at Pending decision approval.

Your case seems to be moving rather fast however you still have some time. E-Benefits is useless, once the VA has your package its safe to assume you have been found Unfit. Once the VA assigns their proposed ratings your package will be sent back to DC for review. Then the PEB will determine if the referred condition/conditions are unfitting and assign your DOD percentage. I called the VA probably on a weekly basis to see if they forwarded the package to DC. That will be your next step in moving forward. Hope this helps, good luck.

Well my biggest thing is, I'm not sure where my package is. The VA has my claim and is "working on it" in their own words but I called the PEB and they said hey have my package and it hasn't been adjudicated yet.. so I'm confused where I am in the process and still no answer from my peblo

I would call the VA back and ask them specifically if they received a PEB package from Washington D.C sometimes it just depends who is on the other line but they do have the capability to confirm this. If they have in fact received a package from D.C. then I would say its safe to assume you've been found unfit. If they found you fit your package would go from D.C back to your PEBLO. Once the VA finishes assigning ratings to your claimed conditions it will then go back to DC for DOD ratings.

Called the PEB in D.C. Again because still haven't heard from my Peblo. They said it hasn't been sent for rating yet and they were on the last vote from the senior provider for fit or unfit.

I have almost the same timeline as you. PEB accepted my package May 11 2017. Not sure if anyone addressed this yet but when the VA says they have your package, I believe that just means they are working on the initial package that you sent to them. So the PEB has your package that was submitted by PEBLO and VA has your original claim most likely.
