possible MEB for fibromyalgia?

Good Day all,

I am currently in the Air Force with less than two years left until separation (signed for 6 years).
I was recently referred off base to a rheumatologist and found out I have fibromyalgia. I've been suffering for the past couple years but all they did was send me to physical therapy. I am now working with my doctor to start a MEB. Is there enough time considering the time I have left in the military vs starting the MEB process?

If you are admitted to the program, your end date is put on hold.

The biggest issue with Fibromyalgia is making sure it is diagnosed by a Rheumatologist. Sounds like you already have that done. I hope things turn out in your favor.

Yes. They won't release you until your process is through.

It took me 4 years. However, I was constantly on a profile for those 4 years because they couldnfigure out what was wrong with me.

How often did you go to sick call for it? It runs in my family and since giving birth I’ve been having a lot of the symptoms but sick call just blow me off with ibuprofen and Tylenol. I don’t know what to do I’ve also developed IBS which they want diagnose but the ER said I have IBS.

Have been in and out of sick call for different things related to fibromyalgia. All they did was five me pain medications as well. I told them that i had this pain for years now so they finally referred me off base. If you'e suffering with any symptoms, I say to ask for a referral and tell them the pain killers they are giving are not working

Did your unit give you problems for being on profile? I hate how they label you if you are on profile it makes no sense.
