My proposed ratings were 60%... when the final ratings were decided, I got 80%. I am proof it can happen! Although it is rare.

From the time my Peblo and Va rep called me until the time I was medically retired with orders was 6 months! IT took 2 months to receive my first monthly check. I was impressed by the IDES process.

There is a facebook group called Disabled Veterans - Chapter 31 Voc Rehab. It is a group with 14,000 veterans who have went through voc rehab or are going through it now. Great information. It all depends on your counselor...and how you word everything. Keep us updated!

Ergo computer chair...but my counselor said they only get chairs if it's for your place of employment and not for chair.

I resigned during a meb. Everything worked out great....

I asked for a reconsideration for my original claim date. Somehow my claim date is 1.5 year difference from the date I filed and the date they have. It was submitted to the regional office and I was told to expect to hear something in 30 days.

Mine took about 30 days...I bugged my peblo daily...I literally emailed her every morning for two weeks straight. Then, I just forgot about it and a few days later it came back!

typo- it is 30%DOD and 80% VA... I was in reserve status when I filed.. I left active in june and filed in july. Can I file that on ebenefits? or through a counselor? thank you

So, I originally filed in July 2014. About six months later my claim was cancelled because I was put into the IDES process. My IDES case closed in June 2016 with 80% DOD and 30% DOD...I was back paid starting in May 2016. I should have been back paid from my original file date correct...
