Hello. Looking for answers before I file for TSGLI. I have served 9 years in the Army 3 tours. I had a vesctomy through the military that tesulted after 4 surgeries with me losing my right testicle due to this. So question 1 is do I qualify for the lost of testicle. Question 2 with 3 deployments I have constant ringing in my hears and history of constant lost of hearing does that qualify me. Lastly can I file while still active being that loss of my testicle has me recieving MEB or do I have to wait till after I get out. Thanks in advance for any input on this

The VA has a pretty good eligibility questionnaire that can be useful. http://www.benefits.va.gov/INSURANCE/tsgli-claim-questionnaire.asp

I am not sure if the loss of the testicle would be related to a traumatic event, either way you should apply for the benefit.

If you are still on active duty, you can most certainly file. There should be a SGM at your bases SFAC who's sole job is to assist soldiers in filing TSGLI claims.
