  • Ok so i got my approval letter at 100% approved for CRSC. I have a DOD rating of 100% and a VA rating of 100%. I retired with 16, 9 months as a O3E ... my DOD payments were 4722, now with the VA offset DOD is 1522.78 minus 308 for SBP. The VA offset is 3199.22 Could you help me do the math on what I can expect of if i fall under the glitch. Thanks
Hi Sir! This forum, specifically your posts, seems to be the only source of information regarding The post 9/11 GI Bill eligibility. Particularly, relating to that of service academy officers being medically retired (70%) before ADSO is met. I am in such a position and every VA rep/source I have spoken with has given me contradicting answers. I would greatly appreciate the help! thanks
Hi Ranger this Red1967 I need your assistance my doctor is refusing to include my Apnea even I have a CPAP machine what can I do. Thank you
Sir, quick questions hopefully you can help me with. I just received my PEB Ratings. I received 60 from the army with a proposed payment of 1838 and a rating of 70 from the VA with the proposed payment of 1312. From what i have read is that the CRSC is for soldiers receiving their VA compensation and to make up for the retirement. If I receive the DOD retirement check would I qualify for the CRSC.
Please send CRSC calculator you mentioned below. Please send to [email protected]

    Kim,
Anyway, for you, or anybody else on here who wants the CRSC Calculator he created, give me your email and I will send it to you. We can't upload Excel files on here.

Whatever, I'm done here, but, I'm not alone in what I've said, and I will continue to fight-and with plenty of support.
Other unfittings are headache and cluster ha residual meningitis. also lumber and cervical unfitting - looks like 20 for ea from ROM.
Thanks Ranger, I did file for Review today to review cogn. Tracking on rating the same way as PTSD. I just cant believe examiner lied and said i denied any stressers, combat activity etc. I Earned My CAB, Brz Str, and a sof member. Would have prefered dr said we recognize your combat but we think anxiety and cogn disorder is your issue. started having panic attacks during tour. dr took me off methloquin.
Hi Ranger, I was reading one thread about army changing/ or not diagnosing PTSD in favor of anxiety/cogn disorders. If you get time read my narsum thats posted please. Any comments you have, im thankful.

Be glad to look at it. I posted in the other thread you posted in and asked where your NARSUM is?
Do you know if VA Caregiver benefits legally be taken away without due process of law? The VA is sending notices either taking away or reducing benefits without so much as a physical examination. I'm 100% P&T SMC with Aid & Attendance and ours has been reduced by 75% effective immediately although we can appeal. The ramifications are causing our heads to spin.

I am not sure. Have you contacted your caregiver coordinator? They should have some good insight into it. Did you have a bad home visit? The other issue with the program is funding. I have read the program is pretty cash strapped.
Afternoon, I heard you are te one to ask about CRSC. Any info would be great thank you.

I am pretty up to date on it. What are your questions?
Hello, Do I have to wait to get my final ratings before I file for CRSC?
    Ranger,
Could we possibly get an updated PEB tracker? Or really bump the thread so that people will post their timelines? I am hoping to judge where I am at in the process... My MEB packet was forwarded to the PEB in San Antonio back on 10 July. The trackers that I have looked at all show unfit letters sent to the VA back in 2012. I appreciate it in advance!

Anybody can bump the thread. If you go back a few posts in the thread you will see that a new guy took it over. Maybe you can also shoot him a message. I am sorry I am not more help. On another note, if your packet was sent to PEB, you should be seeing the fit/unfit decision in the next couple of weeks. Then it's the VA waiting game.

I didn't notice that someone else took it over, I appreciate it!
    Ranger,
Currently on terminal leave (ETS Mar 2013). Do you know if I can use my DD214 for CPX? The DD214 shows "28. NARRATIVE REASON FOR SEPARATION DISABILITY, PERMANENT (ENHANCED)."

you can use it for a 5 point preference, but not the 10 point. I made the same arguement, but was told by many agencies it wasn't good enough. They want the VA letter for 10 points.

Sorry I am way behind. I didn't even see this question. You can try and use the DD 214 for CPX, but it is doubtful they will give it to you. Most agencies work out of the same handbook and it tells them they need the VA letter. Some are smart enough to look past it, but not many.
    Thanks for the response.
    1. Is there a specific resume that needs to be submitted?
    2. Background: 15 years AFS (Special Operations Aviation) E-7/SFC, BS/BA (management)
    3. Tried to apply for a pathways position AF and was notified that I am ineligle, why?
    4. Is there a specific timeline to apply for federal jobs, ie... DEA, ATF, DCMA?
    5. Who and what are the hiring authorities looking for specificlly?

    Thanks.

Send me your email address and I will send you the list I just wrote. I just found out it is a 420 word limit. What I wrote is way more than that.
Seeking assistance with applying for federal positions. If you can help that would them allow me to assist others.

Glad to help. Just tell me what you want to know and I will get you the information. I know the process pretty well. If you don't know what you need to know, just try and come up with generalized questions so I have some idea of what you are looking for.
