CRDP Payment w/Less than 20 Years

Update: DFAS sent a letter stating that they made a mistake and it was an overpayment. I paid the lump sum back.

Denied SSDI because i'm on AD still.

Finished my Social Security Comprehensive Exam (CE). The doctor was very kind and understanding. Now I wonder how long it will take before the SSA/office makes a decision on my case.

Anyone ever had to see a Chiropractor for their SSA exam? If so, how'd it go? What kinds of tests did they do?

Got a phone call yesterday that I will need to go to a scheduled exam before my case is decided. Anyone else have experience to share on the SSA ordered exam?

CRDP Payment w/Less than 20 Years

I should not be authorized CRDP because I have under 20 years of service depsite being rated 60% (DoD) and 100% (VA) P&T. I opted to receive the VA compensation at the higher/tax-free amount. And yet, for my first compensation payment I received a payment from DFAS for both my 60% DoD retirement...

    new IDES claim in ebenefits

I did the math myself and figured it out. It looks like they paid me retirement for JAN and then added on top of it what my VA payment would have been in JAN too (CRDP). I have not done 20 years and I am not authorized CRDP as far as I can tell. When I add those two figures it comes to the EXACT...

    new IDES claim in ebenefits

Weird. DFAS Retropayments says they do not know why I was "credited". They have 7 days to explain or provide an answer. Meanwhile, I've got a check that I should not cash.

    new IDES claim in ebenefits

No stub came with it to explain the payment. I assume it was a hard-copy check because my direct deposit info is now moved over to the VA for their use. The last direct deposit I got from DFAS was also my sold back leave, final travel voucher pay-out, and the BAH they owed me. Meanwhile, I'm on...

    new IDES claim in ebenefits

Indeed. But now I'm more confused. I just got a hard-copy check in the mail from DFAS for an amount that is over 2 times more than what my DoD retirement would be. I'm not sure what this is for, but even if they were paying me for JAN and FEB it would still be way too high to be my DoD...

Sadly, DFAS’s phone lines are not working well right now. They are having issues. I get cut off after about 10 seconds of getting someone on the line. Called 8 Times today. Kept getting disconnected. Got nowhere, really.

I didn't get the physical notification letter/package by mail yet. I believe we are in the same boat though.

Denied SSDI because i'm on AD still.

Update: After doing an inquiry with key officials and showing them the regulations and laws regarding the processing of these applications, I received a call from the Social Security office to admit that they made a mistake in processing my claim. They said that it should have never been denied...

Did you receive payment on 1 FEB?
  19. GSWarrior2017

    new IDES claim in ebenefits

The VA pays a month behind--meaning the pay you would get on 1 FEB would be for the month of JAN. On 1 MAR, you would be paid for the month of FEB--and so forth and so on. Therefore, there would be no back pay.

Did you get your first VA payment in FEB (for JAN)? I sure hope so. It looks like mine did not get updated early enough in JAN for the VA to add me into the pay system for FEB payment. Looks like I won't get compensation until MAR. Doing our best to hold on.
