    Concerns- Referred for Back Pain

I do not believe that you would get a secondary rating for chronic rheumatoid pain to your primary rated disability. Even if you do, a 20% rating and a 10% rating in VA math does not add up to 30%. Remember that rated conditions are compounded..a 20% and 10% rating equals to 25%, with additional...

    Concerns- Referred for Back Pain

I would recommend to see a specialist If you have not seen a Neurosurgeon yet, just ask for the referal. When you do youe CP exam, bend only as far as you can on your WORST day, dont think it be in your interest to tough it out, or that they look at your ROM in your records..that is determined...

    Concerns- Referred for Back Pain

No worries, I am sure your husband will be fine. I would have gotten recommended for a med board if I had not put in my retirement packet. The rating for lumbar and cervical is completely based on his range of motion..just keep in mind that they do not rate pain..only his ability to bend...

    Concerns- Referred for Back Pain

I was not med boarded, I was already over 20 yrs and my PCP gave me the option to either drop my retirement packet or get med boarded. I wanted to leave on my terms and told him I drop my packet..received my VA rating during my terminal leave and qualified for CDRP.

    SSDI and Food stamps

You are not eligible for unemployment when applying or receiving SSDI. The sole reason to receive SSDI is the inability to perform gainful activities, when on unemployment it is assumed that you are fully capable of working again.

Retiring, declined ceremony and now no recognition

I declined a ceremony when I retired out of Alaska, but was offered to be part of a ceremony at any installation of my choosing. All I had to do was to contact the Retirement Service Officer at Ft.Stewart,GA and that was it. I would talk to the RSO close to you, all Army installation have one...

I am having ACDF surgery to replace some disc in my neck and I am scheduled for surgery 09 Mar and I just received order notification the other day. R

I would just let it play out, after your surgery you will be put on convalescence leave, for me it was 60 days, while.on leave your Provider should put you on a temporary profile that extends out at least six months prohibiting you doing pretty much anything my surgeon wrote.a note that I could...

I am having ACDF surgery to replace some disc in my neck and I am scheduled for surgery 09 Mar and I just received order notification the other day. R

You wont get.medboarded just because you have you a a fusion on your cervical..I had a level 2 fusion and you will have the recovery granted to you before anything, which in my case was a year. Furthermore, your orders most likely will get deleted by HRC because of the recovery period, part of...

Can/should I contact my SSDI DDS rep?

No problem, I filed 15 October and decision was made 06Jan. I applied under the 100% P&T rating provision to have it expedited, did not have a CE exam. My claim was denied and my attorney just files for reconsideration and already told me that it most likely will go before a judge. I filed in...

Can/should I contact my SSDI DDS rep?

The DDS rep. or your local office usually won't tell you and refer you to the official letter that will be send out to you. However, on the SSA.GOV website my status changed within 72hrs from pending decision to decision made and was viewable.

    P3 question

BH is able.to give.you two 90 day mental health profiles, beyond those two it will initiate a MEB. I had several discussions with my counselor about this prior going to BAMMC in San Antonio before starting my 6 week outpatient treatment. I had to be put on profile prior to attending the program...

Currently in MEB process, CoC is threatening reduction in rank for height/weight failure

I agree with you Strumy. However, he said that he has been enrolled in the ABCP for the past 8 months and assume that he is meeting the standard outlined in AR 600-8 during his monthly weigh in. I would see it as a stretch to try to reduce a service member when he is making progress. The...

Currently in MEB process, CoC is threatening reduction in rank for height/weight failure

My recommended course of action would be to ask for a counseling by your CDR notifying you on the recommendation of a administrative reduction with the supporting documents attached to it. The administrative authority will have 30 days after notification to have the board convened, in the...

Currently in MEB process, CoC is threatening reduction in rank for height/weight failure

IAW AR 600-8-19 para 10-4 a Soldier can be reduced in rank by a administrative board for either misconduct OR inefficiency. You do not fall under either category because of your appearance. This is why AR 600-8 known as the ABCP program is in place. Again. your command can not and should not...

During meb/peb process. Got flagged for ht/wt failure. Suppose to hit SPC today but I’m flagged. How can I get flag removed? Hlp please!!!

A Soldier must be promotable ie. being recommended by a semi central board or recommended by a centralized board in order to get promoted. That soldier would get promoted on his last day of service. Autonatic ADVANCEMENT from E1 to E4 can be blocked by the company commander with a simple DA...
