Apparently according to the VA rep that I just talked to for my final interview the marine corps severance pays don't get taxed and haven't for a year and a half or so but the navy's does....... how does that make any sense what so ever? Are we not the same department anymore? Did I miss...

I was under the impression that your severance pay is only tax free if your injury it happened in a combat zone?

Does anyone have a timeline on when you start getting your VA pay and is it once a month or bi-weekly?

I'm hoping its in the last paycheck lol, when I took my paperwork to seps they said my eas would be 9'd out which hasn't happened yet for me or maybe it wont show that on MOL?

It took me another 3 weeks after it was sent back to the PEB to receive mine, I wouldn't worry about that in my opinion.

I don't foresee hearing anything until maybe a week after the holidays where most people on base including civilians are taking leave

Cool my case closed on the 6th so looks like we are on the same timeline
