Hello @00shoke00Hey Ron, here is what I'm working with now so can you help me calculate my CRSC payment?
Army/ National Guard
Captain /O3E
Spouse /3 kids (under age 18)
24 Years Total Service
16 years 10 months Active Duty (5816 Points)
70 % DOD
High 3 $8,357
DOD retirement $5,202 a month, after deductions I net $4,334
100% VA ($4,950)
How much could my CRSC if rated at 100% ?
Estimate.
1. Gross pay 5202/70% = 7431.43 high three
2. Retired pay 5202 minus 4959 = 243 residual retired pay
3. 16.833 AD equivalent x 2.5% = 42.08% longevity multiplier
Note: 2% is used instead of 2.5% for those who had the blended retirement plan. Also, rather than using points divided by 360, you can find your active duty equivalent on your disability retirement orders 3/4 down on first page as: DISABILITY RETIREMENT:
xx years, xx months xx days
4. 7431.43 x 42.08% = 3127 longevity portion of retired pay and a CRSC ceiling
5. CRSC 3127 minus 243 residual retired pay = 2884 CRSC payable
6. DFAS will pay each month:
--residual retired pay 243
--CRSC 2884
You will receive all your VA comp from the VA.
This info is based on the information you provided.
Good luck,
Ron
