Other Burn Pit Symptoms

I'm starting up on my MEB process and going through some of my paperwork right now before getting my VA exams done. I was at Camp Sabalu Harrison from 11-12 so I had a hearty dosage of the BAF burnpits for running 3 times a week past it and walking around 300 meters south of it.
I've done the VA survey and looked over the results as well, my only issue with it is that it's narrowly aimed at cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms. I've been dealing with what seems like a breaking down of my body, even when I do what I need to with the recovery processes. I'm 24 years old and shouldn't be in this bad of shape. Joints, limbs, ligaments, tendons, I have random things going bad that I can't find answers for. I've been lucky to be free of having breathing problems.
These all started happening in the year after I got back, I want answers.
Has anyone else that was exposed to these experienced what seems like a general break down in their body? Like does it seem they're unable to heal their bodies properly?

Have you been evaluated for Fibromyalgia or CFS?

I can't answer very well about the linkage of your symptoms to burn pits. Most likely not entirely important for claim or treatment purposes /shrug.

I had a tumor on my pituitary. My PCM said that her professional opinion was that it was from being exposed to toxins (Camp Sabalu Harrison, before it was that, in it's infancy, and Kandahar). She said that 5 of her patients to include me have had masses on their pituitary, and the one thing in common.....Afghanistan/burn pits/other toxic exposure (poo pond, heavy metals in the air, dust, water, etc.)

However, this can't be proven, so no dice.

Its worth noting that the "no dice" part doesn't apply until after discharge. You don't need to prove burn pits, heavy metals in the dust, or Santa Claus, caused it for a direct service connection. You just need to prove it started while on active duty. Its not until something develops years down the road after you're out that its important to say burn pits, agent orange, heavy metals in Camp Lejeune's drink water or radiation from test ranges in the Nevada desert caused it.

And really, proof implies repeatable experiments on humans, something that just won't happen. The best they can do is population studies and statistical correlation, which hardly amounts to proof.

They are still trying to figure out what they could be causing there is a burn pit registry at the VA website

Has anyone had any luck figuring any of the heavy metals out in bloodwork yet? Is the VA rating it in any type of code or condition?
I had my doctor do a Heavy Metal Blood test in 2012. The results was mercury, arsenic and lead in my bloodwork. I was deployed to Northwestern Kuwait in 2004-2005. burn pits, AF poo pond, small sand storms and typical dirty ass base camp. I did speak to one of the Environmental Doctor's from the Burn Pit Study and she said that for any new onset Asthma conditions, it's related to the "particulate matter" that we breathed in while over there.

Antknee77, I was in Northern Kuwait at the kick off and then stuck there at Camp New York, Camp Behring and Ali Al Salem 04-05. We had the poo ponds, leach pits, burn pits and the occasional small non biblical sand storms. We did however have plenty of the Highway of death vehicles outside of camp and 140 degree heat. I starting having respiratory problems in 2007. My point is, I spoke to a specialist at my hospital and she told me the only way to see if I had any metals or toxins in my blood was to have my PCM send me to have a heavy metal blood test done at the local hospital. I did that and turns out I have arsenic, lead and mercury traces in my blood. Not sure what this causes as any illnesses but I'm still having tests done. I'll try to attach my test results so any of you that need to print that off and show your primary care doctor. I've had other doctors tell me there is no such test that can be done. I don't know. But I found a doctor that would and knew what to do. Heavy metals profile, blood is attached.
