Pending DDA approval

#1
Good Afternoon,
I have been in pending DDA approval since November. I thought the DDA was supposed to make a recommendation within 45 days. Does anyone know if this is accurate? Also, when notified once your case was complete, did you get notified via regular mail or did that come as certified mail?

I still havent found a good contact number for status - if anyone has a good telephone number for the Air Force please let me know.

Thanks again!

The 45 day’s for notification is definitely not being met. Mine took 10 months from being sent to my branch to me being notified. And it will come first class mail. No signature required.

I received a letter stating that my information was sent to DDA for review dated 30 Nov 2016. I still have not heard anything further.

I still have not received any more information on my case. My case was pending DDA Approval last November. Has anyone else with a summer 2015 PDBR received any information regarding their case?

Thanks

I would start googling contact numbers for the AF and make calls. I didn’t receive mine after 8 months from the Army so I called. I never received my notification. So they went it again.

AF is processing faster than the Army so yours shouldn’t not take a year for notification.

Keebs, Thanks for the info. I have googled for the number but have not been able to find any good contact information. The PDBR referred me to a Tech Sgt over the summer who keeps saying there has been no change in my case. She said a few weeks ago she was going to try to check the status for me, but I have not heard back from her yet. I emailed the PDBR again yesterday to see if they may be able to find out status. Sigh, not sure if it taking this long is a good thing or a bad thing. :/

Have you checked the PDBR website to see if it is there?? That is how I found out mine was done! It uploaded to the website before I ever received notification. I’ll try and find some numbers for you to call.

You could also try asking a recruiter who to contact. I was an Army recruiter the end of my enlistment and I had all sorts of contacts who could help me get info.

TexasTACP, it's a recorded line. No answer. The lady I have been working with said she talked to someone in Maryland and they said my case is still awaiting a signature (over a year later!) and hopefully it will be signed soon.
Sigh, hurry up and wait some more :)

I would press them further and tell them you’ll have to contact your Congressperson as it is well beyond the allowed timeline they put forth.
