Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Best Wishes!
If you get severance and the VA rates you for PTSD do you still have to do re-evaluations or is that only for retirement?
Re-evaluations are only for Temporary Disability Retirement List (TDRL), and hence are only for retirement. If you get severance and the VA rates you for PTSD do you still have to do re-evaluations or is that only for retirement?
Why not take the 80% PDRL offered on 23 April?
Correction:In my opinion, the IPEB should have accepted that DoVA 100% PTSD rating comprehensively since my PTSD symptomatology supported that overall VA rating; therefore, potentially securing the future of my SMC-S pay from the VA.
Moreover, the DD Form 199 was written with erroneous statements which we proved were wrong, but of course the DoD LDES process (post DoD IDES) are not bound to accept any DoVA ratings unfortunately.
As such, we understood that the worst case scenario of remaining on DoD TDRL could occur albeit I had to fight the injustice; sometime you win and sometime you lose but at least I tried and very pleased at our decision to fight!
Thus, I quite often comment that "possessing well-informed knowledge is truly a powerful equalizer."
Best Wishes!
