I know that most people at Fort Campbell are getting done way faster than me I figured I would at least start a new thread and post my very slow and almost non-moving timeline below. I have been in the MEB process since December 2015 and have had quite a few amount of people start after me and are now either clearing or already cleared. Hope this timelines answers some questions. Feel free to add please.

I am at fort campbell as well and I still havent received fit/unfit memo. Although today my VA eBenefits went from Pending decision to Preparation For Decision. Does that mean I was found unfit?

Edit: I finished my MEB on 20 March.

I dunno. I'm on Fort Campbell and I got my unfit memo within a week of it going to the IPEB and now I guess I'm in the ratings phase. My ebenefits is now at preparation for a decision. So I have no idea what's going on. However, my case is relatively straightforward though.

My case is very simple I have only 1 unfitting condition : Autonomic Dysfunction and I also claimed stomach ulcers. I am not sure what is taking PEB so long to decide if I am fit or unfit for duty. i get dizzy every other day and sometimes I almost pass out. I don't really think that I should be fit for duty. My average heart rate is 96 and through out the day I have 110-135 bmp just walking at a normal pace.

The fit/unfit memo sometimes takes a week or two after your packet goes to the VA for ratings, they have to get signatures and then it depends on your PEBLO, which if you have mine he sucks ass.

As far as the preparation for decision it will go there and then you should get that claim closed and it will open another one and that one will go to your historical claims. The new open one is for you to send your DD214 in when you get out. This means your ratings are done and you should get them about 2-3 weeks after that.

Problem with mine is they I guess want a sleep study done but my MSC is saying that the VA doesn't do that but I received a letter in the mail saying they are sending me for an appointment. Yea, I hope your confused cause I sure as hell am.

I called my PEBLO at 7am today. and he told me that my unfit memo was received on 29 of April. But When I called him he said that its going to take 2-3 weeks and today he just changed his mind I guess. I just want out ASAP because my leadership is treating me like Sh*t and they think that I have faked everything (I am getting out for Autonomic Dysfunction). Also I have registered for classes @ Uni of Minnesota for fall already and I am just hoping that I get out by 31 of July. I just started taking my ACAP classes today and they will be done on 28 May. I am hoping that I will get VA ratings and 199 by that time.

BTW, did u do ur sleep study at an Army Medical centre?

Good luck on getting out by the end of may. I had originally hoped for April but we see how that turned out. I haven't done the sleep study they requested yet because no one can tell me where to go and when to take it. They all tell me something different. Like my MSC says the VA doesn't do that, but I got a letter in the mail, and my PEBLO well he sucks. So who knows

I came out of campbell and i didnt finish till feb 2016 timeframe. Id have to look at my records but i believe i started ides around may 2015. Also, la pointe kept telling me they dont do sleep studies so i was never able to schedule one even though guys i knew in 1st and 2nd bde said they all got one. I got sick of their games so i decided to get it done when i got out.

My pcm at la pointe and whoever else did my xrays and everything kept saying my xrays came back fine. Funny how all of a sudden i was in ides and sent back for xrays within a week of the last time of them telling me that and i now have arthritis. Im not a doctor but im pretty sure arthritis doesnt happen in a week.

There were plenty of other guys in the unit who were misdiagnosed and had it been caught early they wouldnt be in the shape they are now.

Just an update, nothing has changed in my process everything is still at a strand still and my PEBLO has no idea why and neither does my MSC. So who does know is the question.

Sleep studies are usually done at an off post provider.

The fit/unfit memo is not a requirement for the SM to sign anymore, and it will not slow down or stop the process like it use to. It IS useful to see as if it is UNFIT, it will list the reasons the Army says you are unfit. It will not list other items so don't get worried, they are still there, just the Army does not care about them (for lack of better words).

The PEBLOs here don't even print them out, I saw it was completed in the online MEB/PEB tab in my MEDPROS/AKO.

That timeline is your best source for updates. If you pay attention you may have info there before your PEBLO calls you.

As with JP, my packet seems to have stalled at the formal PEB.

Where on that site do you get info? All I see on there is just the dashboard that has the timeline. Is there something more I am missing?

You will only see 'Informal PEB' completion date. That means there is a fit/unfit memo in cyberspace. The PEBLO can pull it up and show you, however Ft Drum doesn't print them anymore.

The memo states you are fit for duty, or states found unfit for the following reasons with a paragraph and line number.

This is also not 100% absolute. Which is probably another reason they stopped formally issuing them. Soldiers get an unfit and -rarely- are ultimately found fit, and freak out. Or vice versa.

The only rock hard fit / unfit is on your 199.

So I have 2 seperate claims on my ebenefits

1 says its gathering evidence and the other one is in my historical claims now... what does that mean?

I had one claim as of a few days ago. On 16 May 2016 I had a closed claim and I received my 199 and proposed ratings today.

I have heard it means your ratings are done and should get them in a couple weeks

As promised I am sending out an update to my timeline, in hopes that others go way faster than mine has. I am still waiting and there has been no movement for over a month now on my case. Ebenefits still says gathering evidence and 1 needed from other, but MSC, PEBLO, IDES Coordinator, VA rep, all say they have no answers for me. So I am just thrown to the wind once again in this lovely Army system to just wait it out and try not to go postal and shoot everyone.

what does your IDES tracker says? I am almost in the same boat and the VA portion of my ratings was done almost a month ago, but still no word from the PEB about their "findings"...

My IDES tracker says its still on the VA rating step and has been for 54 days now. Although yesterday evening I got a small glimmer of hope and my ebenefits went to under review. So hopefully this means something. What is your timeline?

I got the unfit status as of March 29, 2016 and end of april VA ratings started showing as completed, so now have been waiting for almost a month for the PEB findings... it's crazy that it's taking them this long. Have you tried talking to an ombudsman yet?

Yea I talked to them a couple days ago, it was right after I talked to the that it showed under review on ebenefits so maybe tomorrow or next week it will move to prep for decision
