VA told me my package was also received yesterday. Looks like we are running on the same timeline. My PEBLO told me that it would be 15-30 days for the VA to send their proposed ratings to PEB, & then another 30-45 days for PEB to finalize everything for our findings.

Mine told me the exact same but it seems as if things are going faster than that plus I called my va rep and he said it should take 2 weeks so I'm listening to him he's helped me more than my Peblo has

Rule of thumb in this process, don't trust shit your peblo says. lol. Mine was completely off on his estimates everytime. Usually was double the time it took from what he said. My package sent to the VA in Sept. Just got both dod and VA ratings on the 2nd of december. You'll probably get both rates but the end of feb if i had to guess from my experience.

My package was with the VA for 70 days before it got sent back to the PEB on December 1st. Still waiting for finalized ratings. I can barley understand my Peblo when she talks but She told me any day now the other day but I'm totally expecting at least another month. Also I have taken every avenue possible to find out my proposed VA ratings but it seems no one has answers to that other then to bug the VA until they cave.

you can call the VA and ask them to fax them to you after 10 days of the completion of your proposal

I just love how my package is still MIA lol. Congrats Pac!

I had to find out the PEB sent my package to the VA with the unfit ratings on 7 Dec. I had to call the VA to find this out when on the 19th I asked her if the PEB sent a fit or unfit memo to the VA and she told me no. I don't trust anything my PEBLO says.

C&P exams sent from VA to PEBLO 15 Oct.

PEBLO sent my package to IPEB 3 Nov.

Learned the PEB sent my unfit to VA on 7 Dec.- Didn't learn this until 22 Dec.

Now just waiting while my husband and daughter PCS.

I hate the wait.

I'm calling va rep every 3 days...the wait is killing me so much I wish the holidays would hurry up and be over

I was discharged from the Navy after 10 years. Due to an emergency heart operation, which I wasn't given physical therapy and any help to recoup. after years of complaining of chest pain, I starting losing my memory and it got so bad I was having problems breathing and passing out. My heart was swollen and dilated was on the verge of giving out. I complained and was told I had anxiety and given meds for years. After my operation, I was told that I would be discharged. I was given 10 percent disability check which 1/3 was taken out for taxes and that was it. The VA granted me 100 disability, it was increased from 80, 90 and now it's 100. I received a package out of no where to file for this. I did and got an email in Oct that they were working on it. I Don't know how this process works and if my VA rating affects the decision.

Just got the call in regards to my ratings, I got 20% DoD and 60% VA. Super pissed and unsure what to do. I don't know any more then this until Tuesday when I talk to these people. What exactly am I gonna be loosing if I accept separation vs retirement? Is it worth appealing for 10% that I might not even get and staying here longer then I have to? How long is the appeals process ? Etc etc, any advice before I talk to these people Tuesday pleeeease

Separation and retirement both have their own positive sides and negative sides. With separation comes severance payment which may be helpful to you dependent on your financial situation. With retirement comes TRICARE and retention of the ability to use military treatment facilities should there be room for retirees. If separated you could still be eligible for free health care through the VA for your conditions. Make sure you seek legal counsel and discuss your options at length. You can appeal this decision if you have evidence that supports an increase in your percentage.

I took my severance because I'm 90% VA so I have 100% health care for the rest of my life with permanent disability. Also the DoD thought they were smart and gave me 0% severance instead of my other condition that was rated at 50% by the VA and should have and I could fight to have be my unfitting condition for medical retirement. But why not collect the severance check for free without paying it back and have 100% free health care for the rest of my life. Great success. The DoD are a bunch of criminals just like the politicians in charge.

Well even though Im yet to talk to them about options, the only thing I want to push for retirement is keeping tri care and I simply cant fathom another 6 months potentially sitting around here waiting on the possibility of adding 10%. I got medevacd out of a "combat zone" to have back surgery and once i was out of surgery all of a sudden I have a neurogenic bladder and functional outlet dysfunction( ill let you figure that one out) My unfitting condition is likely to be I have more disc herniations and radiculopathy which should have got at least 30. I was hoping they would of considered the fact that after surgery I lost the ability to do normal day to day human functions that now will require life long care and in which tri care would be ideal to keep considering.

50% VA and you are covered by the VA for life medically as well
