April 20th: cp exams
July 14: Medical Board Hands off to PEB
Sept 12th: Peb hand off to VA (UNoffically found unfit)
Oct 20th: Va gives it back to PEB
Nov 12th: Recieve offical Va ratings and unfitting letter (70%)
December 2nd: recieve DoD ratings and sign (20%, crooked bastards, should of been 50, but didn't want to risk FPEB)

2017
Jan 9th:
Got tired of after a month still not having a Seperation physical scheduled and at risk of not starting my new job in time to take matters in my own hands. Long story short, didn't need one! For full story:

Jan 10: Seperation Package finally submitted to PSD.
JAN 13: Orders in hand
JAN 27: Pick up DD214 and start Terminal
FEB 14: Enjoy civilian life with great paying new job!

Congrats! What will you be doing at Tyson foods?

I'm super Jelly because my command still has yet to submit my sep package that I gave to them last week. Turns out the admin chief I gave it to went on leave and didn't pass it on. It seems no one is in a rush to find it either.

VrodViddy, at what point and how far out did you begin applying for jobs? Also, how did you negotiate the timeline with your employer?

If you have a thread link to post (or website or something) and it is easier, that would help too.

Thanks poppa.

I been looking for jobs for past two years really, but I wouldn't bother trying to apply for a job intill you get your ratings. Thats when I applied, and interviewed 4 weeks later. The negotiating start time will vary strictly on the employer. I just got lucky as it was a brand new position they never held before and weren't in extreme rush to fill. My experience in lookin for work though, most employers looking to fill a position in 2 weeks or less. This isn't to say that you shouldn't give it a try. You might get lucky like I did.
