Finally, Preparation for Decision but also wondering..

Thank you! What happened with yours ?

I met with the FPEB lawyer the day before the hearing. We presented enough medical evidence to by pass the board and just submit a VARR to increase the rating to retirement. That was the only real focus here. I'm told results will be back in 4-6 weeks and that will come with my new EAS as well. Pretty stoked.

Awesome!! So glad to hear! My lawyer was amazing as well. Very happy with requesting the formal board (that I didn't have to go to lol)

Today is my official EAS. I will keep the thread updated with how long it takes for the Severence to hit.

Also will be going to the VA regional office this week to ensure they process my claim that is awaiting their action in Ebenefits for my monthly disabilty compensation. It should kick in March 1st (because Govnt payments are always paid to you in arrears.)

Does anyone know the PEB phone number? So I can call them and see where my package is? The VA sent it back to them on the 20th so I am just hoping to hear something soon.

Thank you DakotaA, I just got a call this morning from my Peblo saying my package is back from the peb. I am going to sign at 1500 today. Has it been about 2-3 weeks from signing to getting a new EAS? Im just trying to see when to try and request to use all of my 70 days of ptad and leave.

I got my new EAS last week. I go on Terminal in 16 days.
Did they give you a March or April one? If you don't mind me asking.

My new EAS posted at exactly 2 weeks to the day after signing my findings. Some take longer, some don't take as long. If your EAS is not favorable, you can call MMSR4 and have it changed. It is a small process, but not difficult. The number for MMSR4 is:

703-784-9308

My new EAS is March 30th. If your posted EAS is not favorable, you can call MMSR4 and see about having it changed. They will explain the process.

Thank you. My findings finalized on Friday so I'm just waiting for my update. Anxiously. Lol

So is a good time frame to put down for an eas be April 30th if I sign on Thursday?

They typically give you a 30-90 day window. I requested 90 so I could fully use my PTAD and terminal leave. It just depends what you have going on really so request what works best for you.

EAS posted. April 29!!! 48 days of leave on the books.

That number doesn't seem to work. Any special way of dialing it or maybe finding their updated number?

They never gave me a choice when I signed findings
No choice? Welcome to the Corps! But seriously, the EAS date is based on your leave balance. If you have ~60 days, expect a 90 day EAS. If you have about 30 days, probably 60 days out.

Don't forget you rate PTAD & can take M-F if staying local (CONUS) = a month of free time off.
