Updated AF case timeline

The only thing you should absolutely need orders for is scheduling your TMO since it needs 30+ days lead time.

There is a memorandum that can be produced called a memo in lieu of orders. I used to see these all the time as the D-Flight commander. The local TMO flight should be able to produce it without any problems.
Any issues with getting your final out scheduled with the MPF? Especially given the summer months and the short notice? Also, do you actually do your final out prior to starting permissive and terminal leave? Did you turn in your CAC at that time out do you do that later?

Congrats Weeble! I just got my ratings (80/80) yesterday and requested 30 Aug retirement- I only have 17 days of leave and PTDY combined, but I still feel like I might be rushing it...

Jahlon- seems like you didnt have any problems working through AF out processing in just a few days? Any place in particular hassle you?

Yay! I'm thrilled for you! It's a long road, but that end is really nice. :)

Received ratings from PEBLO today. 100% DoD/100% VA! Updated timeline in signature block.
I, too, am being boarded for Ménière's disease. What was your rating specifically just for this? Did the VA have to re-test? I absolutely hated that.

Hi there my fellow wobbler! I was rated at 100% for the menieres alone. The VA didn't retest, however they did do an exam and a hearing test. I did bring with me my records from my civilian specialist which may have kept them from retesting. Best of luck and may your spins be short!

Good idea on bringing civilian records - I thought, however, the VA would already have them but I'll make sure to bring just in case! Are you on any medication like HCTZ to help somewhat control episodes? Thank you!

I'm on diamox (water pill), Dramamine when it's spinning and even xanax when is really bad. Additionally, I get steroid injections every six months or so in to my eardrum. How many years have you been in?

Congrats, Weeblewobble! I just back my impartial review and will be signing it this week to send back to my PEBLO. Nice to see the AF moving these things along!

No orders yet. *sigh*

Did anyone else's eBenefits status start to change before the VA received the package from the PEB? My package just went to the PEB Monday (no myPers notification) but the eBenefits status changed from gathering evidence to reviewing evidence today... Just not sure if that was normal.

Magoo- eBenefits seems to do its own thing, especially before the package gets to the VA after th IPEB. Until you get the mypers notification that youve been pushed to DRAS (the rating agency, ie the VA), Id consider it to be useless. that was my experience at least.

Weeble- still no orders here either. Le Sigh.

Quick question...I have noticed that a lot of people wait a while to get their 199. Can you start outprocessing and going on your PTDY while waiting for the 199 or does everything wait on that? Thanks guys!

I don't think that applies to us air force personnel. The 199 Is an army form.

Oh ok Thanks!

I'm beginning to think that orders are like sasquach. People swear they've seen them, but I don't know if they actually exist. LOL!

That is how I feel about seeing an email from AFPC saying they have your MEB package! It looked like everyone's package was accepted by AFPC within a few days but mine has been up there waiting for a week to be accepted.

Got my orders! Turns out they were ready the day after I was notified but they left my PEBLO off the email by mistake. Shocker. Not.

Hey any advice you can offer while I am waiting for informal PEB? I mean what you will do different if you start your MEB all over again and with the knowledge you have now!!!!!
also are you gonna receive back pay from CRSC and what entitlements you can receive when terminal leave will be going back home?
