Good day,
Just a brief summary I am in the process of being MEDBOARDed. My PCM referred me early Aug. I found out that the reason why is for my ankles and lower back. I have heard that the process here in JBSA has been fairly quick (6 mo). I am trying to get to 20 (July 18). I have already submitted my request for retirement a few days before i was recommended. I had already given my PEBLO some admin documents; I have not talked to the MSC and filled out the VA form (claims). My first briefing will be early Oct. and i do not know where i am on the MEB/PEB time table; my medical readiness doesn't show an open case. So a few things:
1) How long did your MEDBOARD last from start to finish? I believe if i can stretch mine to 7 months my 90 days of transition will help me get to 20.
2) Can i still be medically retired even though the MEB process takes me past my 20 year mark or will I have the option to get a regular retirement?
3) What are the chances of being on limited duty/found fit at a 19 year 2 month mark?
4) Any and all advise are welcome.
Thank you.
