BackRound info first. Was command referred to EBH after some shit went down on my second deployment in 2013. Saw EBH for 7 months until I PCS’d. Went 3 years without seeing them. Started going back in January of 2016 for PTSD related problems. I have been on a profile for over a year and been seeing a provider weekly and catoegorized as a “high risk”
So I have begun my med board process for a lower back injury I received on deployment. I have been on profile for my back and for EBH (ptsd) for just over a year now. As I understand, I will be able to claim PTSD and my other issues with the VA but they will not count towards the Army’s rating. I am trying to get over a 30% though with the army and I know my lower back claim by itself won’t cut it.
My back is the only permanent profile I currently have. I asked my EBH provider about making my temporary profile for PTSD into a permanent profile but she says since I have already been cleared by the army in the past for Recruiting Duty and for RI Duty that the Army will not agree to put me on a permanent profile for EBH.
My question is this: even though my back is my only permanent profile and is the sole cause of my Med board being initiated. Is there anyway that the QTC provider that did my evaluation for PTSD and TBI come back and say that my PTSD should also count towards the Army side of the disability percentage? Or does it HAVE to be a permanent profile in order for the Army to accept it? Thanks in advance for any help, this page has been amazing with informing me of this whole process and what to expect.
