Every time I try and figure it out I get a different answer.
Can anyone assist?
100% VA
100% Army
Just got 100% CRSC.
22 years total
15.6 years AD
Top 3: $5115

Reply:
1. 5115 x 75% = 3836 DoD CH 61 retirement
2. 15.6 years AD (inferred and not 15 1/2 yrs) x 2.5% = 39%
3. 5115 x 39% = 1995 dollar amount of longevity portion or retirement
4. VA comp @100% (no deps mentioned) = 2,973
5. CRSC at 100%, no deps mentioned = 2973
6. 3836 CH 61 retirement - 2973 VA offset = 863 residual retired pay
7. Item 3, 1995, is less than item 5 2973 so 1995 is CRSC
8. CRSC 1995 minus residual retired pay 863 = 1132
9. Summary each month: 2973 VA + 1132 CRSC + 863 residual retired pay =
4968
Some of the necessary info was missing so I assumed some aspects of the case.
Added: This request for a CRSC estimate
was in a post today, but as a quotation. The initial request was in 2014 (just noticed) and is useless today.
