I am a reservist (IMA) and was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) a few months ago. I saw my PEBLO for the first time a couple days ago who went over the entire process if I am to be MEB'd. Package will be sent to AFRC for recommendation. What bothers me the most, is that I was not on orders when diagnosed (was in civilian status). I was active duty for 8 1/2 years and been in the Reserves for 4 years, no break in service. Determining whether or not it was "in the line of duty" is my issue. An administrative discharge is what I don't want to happen. I am a Security Forces member and my MS treatments involve injections three times a week.
Will this result in a Medical Retirement, Military Discharge w/ pay or will I be found "fit for duty?
Trying to put my mind at ease and looking for advise.
Thanks in advance!
