@ShadowStalker were you able to check now? I am not able to get in. Tried to get access on my laptop, iPad, and mobile. :( I think they are doing maintenance on the site. I going to have to check on Monday. URRGH!!! Your packet should be in your hands sometime next week.
Yes, I just logged into the HRC Portal. It took a minute to login but I was successful.

@ShadowStalker

Just logged in, mine is still the same, no update. I figure by Wednesday my should be updated as well. the finish line is getting closer and closer. :)

This morning hubby's retirement is in milconnect! He is officially OFFICIALLY now retired back dated to 2007 FEB 18.. Still have not received our white packet, however, things are moving. Got a letter Friday on what the balance we owe to V.A. still waiting on back pay info and orders. Hopefully will come soon!

Looks like I need to check mine as well. @ShadowStalker has your changed?

My milconnect doesn't show anything else new.

I did downloaded my documents which showed my DD215. It was In the correspondence and documentations, Under defense personnel records Information.

i will keep you updated when I get my orders.

@tinker2cute So you still have a balance with VA?

yes. When my husband was originally discharged he was a Major with 18 1/2 years active and 6 years reserves, 24 years total (which by the way he ha his 20 year letter from reserves which they never considered). The MEB board only looked and rated 1 thing on his long list of injuries and ailments. he was discharged with 10%. Got letter from V.A. today, his balance is 72 grand. so we are not sure what if anything he will get in back pay. They have always only held out about $350 a month for is debt. So we are really flying blindly on all that...

I worked for the Command Surgeon @ HRC at the time and I knew he was getting the shaft, as I watched how they shafted so many on a daily basis. However, by the time we realized exactly how bad it was it was too late, as he went through all his boards in Korea and Hawaii.

@tinker2cute I hope he gets something back. I paid back all my severance back last year. Kinda upset when I was told that I shouldn't have paid it back because it was combat-related. They have been getting over on us in the past, but I am glad that things are working out better. Keep us posted with any more news. This helps a lot. I remember I was stalking the site and couple of posts trying to get info on my process, somewhere too old or too vague to understand. I hope we are helping those that are going thru the process now get answers to claim the nerves. :)

Ok so I was MEDSEP may 2007. With 10% and severance. I received severance and it was tax exempt due to being injured while in Iraq. The VA rated me at 30% and began the recoupment of severance with absolutely no disability pay coming in since I was given my rating. In fact my VA paperwork shows I’m to start receiving my VA disability beginning OCT 2018. Saturday 26 jun 18 I received my white envelop from deputy assistant secretary of the army accepting the PDBR board decision. 40% disability retirement to be retro to my discharge date (31May07). After I came do n from the ceiling and put my clothes back on. I dug out all my old paperwork. I noticed my separation orders listed combat related as “no”.
So. Question 1. Looking at the CRSC instrumentalities of war. How does it get quantified. I hurt my back ( reason for discharge). While on patrol outside the wire in Baghdad recovering our Bradley that had thrown track. I was subsequently m diva ER out of country for treatment. It is in my NARSUM how I gwas t hurt but it wasn’t listed in my sep orders.

I know I’m jumping the gun because it’s still early in the orders and pay process but want to make sure I’m clear and not forgetting to apply for things. Got screwed once not going to sit back and let them hide me again.

Question 2. I expect it to take up to another 6 months but do we all get another packet of explaining the steps post white envelop?

Question 3. Since I was discharged and processed through fort Stewart. Are they the ones who will amend and reissue the retirement orders? I moved last year to my home town in Kona Hawaii. The closest military bases are on Oahu. Go figure. That I lived in Hinesville after I got out and now that I’m back in my home town I won’t really have easy access to the benifits.

Does anyone know what the minimum amount of retired pay is? Percentage wise? Is it 30% of pay for 30% disability rating?

I believe so. I have been digging with google foo and so far it seems like your percentage rating is what they use with the high 36.

CRSC is all up in the air and can go either way, I was told by HRC that he informs veterans that if you weren’t 1-shot, 2-blow up, 3-involved in shoot out, then chances are you might not get it, but I read some do because they were in a “combat related environment” So i would apply and see what happens, the worse the can say is no, but not really because you are retired.

It all depends on when your packet was completed, and who processed it. I would contact HRC and speak to Mr. Al and get more info on that.
