I hope I don't sit at it for a month. My package has already been with the VA for 5 weeks.

Same here. I'm tired of this wait game. How many claims did you have? I had 11

I only have 1 claim and it is an add on (I already have a disability rating for 2 others). In fact, it's an add on for something that the VA found, diagnosed and is actively treating!!! You would think it would be fast and easy..... But I have been at "Pending Decision Approval" for a month anyway

Dang man. Sorry to hear that. I just hope pur cases havent been dropped. I read a post on here about 2 weeks ago that a bunch of cases got dropped. I wonder if we were in that category. Because I've been reading a lot of post on here people get the ratings back anywhere from 1-3 weeks. And it's a lot of people. I'm still waiting for mine. Its been a month and a week not for me. Working on a month and a half

What's your estimated time completed say?

Dang. Mine says freaking jan-mar16 2019!!! I hope it dont take that long.

Here is my timeline:

24 May 18: Aortic Valve Replacement Surgery
29 May 18: Discharged from hospital
2 Jul 18: Referred for MEB
10 Jul 18: Met with PEBLO
11 Jul 18: Phone consultation with attorney
23 Jul 18: Met with VA MSC; claims submitted
14-15 Aug 18: QTC Appointments
4 Sep 18: NARSUM Signed
6 Sep 18: NMA Signed
13 Sep 18: Found unfit by MEB; referred to PEB
20 Sep 18: Lawyer review of PEB package
24 Sep 18: Personal Statement Complete
24 Sep 18: PEBLO sent package to PEB
25 Sep 18: Package received by PEB
9 Oct 18: Found UNFIT by PEB; package sent to VA
23 Oct 18: Ebenefits status changed to "Pending Decision Approval"
24 Oct 18: Ebenefits updates "Documents Needed From You"; indicates "VA Form <number>" needed
25 Oct 18: Notified PEBLO; PEBLO indicates she has not been notified of any document requirements
30 Oct 18: Received notice in the mail from VA stating "You may be entitled to additional benefits" with instructions to submit claim
31 Oct 18: PEBLO and MSC assured me the process would not be delayed and to fill out the form and return it ASAP
1 Nov 18: Additional claim submitted via Ebenefits
5 Nov 18: PEBLO received findings; DoD 100% / VA 100% / PDRL; Ebenefits still stated "Pending Decision Approval"

Although I'm satisfied with the results, I'm having them reviewed by an attorney in the interest of being thorough prior to accepting. I intend to request a terminal leave date beginning the first week of January with my final day in the Navy being in late March. I'll update everyone on the transition process so you know what timelines look like on your way out.

Throughout the process, my PEBLO told me not to rely on Ebenefits for updates because it isn't necessarily accurate for those in the IDES process.

What's your estimated time completed say?

Mine says: 11/05/2018 - 11/09/2018
Two weeks ago it had different dates (through 11/29/2018) so I was really hoping that I would get the decision quickly. But um..... tomorrow?... What are the odds

The following does not change anything stated in the preceding posts. Those posts reminded me of a post I made on another site 1.5 years ago.

eBenefits is a pirate system in that it takes information from other systems which in turn, causes the results one sees on eBenefits.
No one is directly making input to eBenefits.

The following is how eBenefits defines the "completion of claim" information:

"The time it takes to complete your claim depends on factors like the type of claim and the type of disability claimed.

The estimated dates are based on a statistical analysis of historical processing times for similar claims. Some things you should know:

--Historical data may not accurately predict current conditions. Your claim may take longer.
--Dates may change as the statistical analysis is updated.
--Some claims will take longer than the range of dates given as they are based on an average.
--Submitting the supporting documentation that has been requested quickly and electronically is the surest way to get your claim decided as quickly as possible."

From a related post:
The following is an excerpt from a January 2016 post by a former senior VA employee (including duties as a DRO) and accredited VSO:

"The guys and gals at the VARO don't pay any attention to it [eBenefits]. Sometimes these 'steps' that are shown in ebenefits are really just one step. For example the RVSR reviews the evidence and makes the decision all at the same time."

I think this is valuable information, particularly if one does not see movement between the various steps or stages.

Summary

1. Evidently, the estimated completion of claim date is not based on the work already completed on one's claim; it is an estimated date based on a statistical analysis of historical processing times for similar claims.

2. The VSR and the RVSR are not monitoring eBenefits and do not periodically pull up one's account to update certain data solely for ensuring the accuracy of eBenefits.

thanks Ron!

Moved back to preparation for decision. I fucking hate the VA.

I submitted a claim 10/17/2018 and a decision was made 10/25/2018. I remember going to my CMP exam and I checked the status once that Monday and something just told me check again on the 25th, because in the past I've had the money deposit before checking Benefits for the actual rating, but this wasn't the case it just said COMPLETE.

But it did not change my compensation amount, so I put another claim in on 10/25/2018 had a CMP exam 11/09/2018. And now it says Current Status: Preparation for Decision. So we shall see I am trying not to worry myself checking everyday. It says completion 12/01/2018-12/29/2018.

If it came between now and then that would be an awesome XMAS gift from the VA.

What was the Ebenefits status prior to the "Pending Decision Approval" status?

I ask this because my package has been sent to the IPEB over a month ago, and I haven't heard anything in regards to my fit / unfit status. Ebenefits says "review of evidence". I feel like the IPEB usually makes a unfit/fit decision within 2 weeks. I only have 2 claims, too.

Right before "Pending Decision Approval" was "Preparation For Decision"
