Finally heard back from my PEBLO today. She said I was found UNFIT. Now we are just waiting for the ratings to come back. They were sent from the VA to the board a little over a week ago so hopefully within the next couple weeks I should have my ratings.

That’s is awesome news @MattCollins7, now hopefully they give you what you want. Was your PEBLO able to give you the VA ratings?

Aaaah well hopefully it doesn’t take too much longer to hear back from the PEB with your final ratings.

@MattCollins7 Hey buddy, so my radiculopathy came back from the VA as 20% for either arm and the DOD said that it counts towards the unfit finding but no percentage will be added. So they came back with 20% severance for Neck pain with spinal stenosis and secondary conditions of bilateral Radiculopathy. I'm going to a formal board now but I just wanted to let you know. I hope your findings come back with better results than mine did.

Oh man, that's crazy! My package is currently with the rating authority on day 34, so I should be hearing from my PEBLO with my ratings very very soon. I'm sorry to hear that you are having to go to a formal board. Did you already schedule a date for the board?

I sent my stuff off today so I should hear soon. I really hope yours comes back with what you were wanting!

As long as the DOD comes back with 30% I'll be happy. We shall see! Good luck to you and keep me posted!

PEBLO says a ratings decision has been made but she is just waiting for them to be uploaded.

Matt , the ratings from the VA , Longest part by far? And how do you know that the VA recieved your records that day like who told you? Va say one thing PEB said another for me.

I've never spoken to the VA directly in regard to my records, any information I've received has been directly from my PEBLO or the PEB. The ratings feel like the longest part only because it's the light at the end of the tunnel. But in reality, the longest part for me was the C&P exam portion because they got held up and were never submitted when they were supposed to be. Had everything been done on time, I would more than likely be done with the entire process. I'm approaching 2 years already on a LIMDU/PEB status and just ready to be through with it all so I can start a new career.

Did you hear about the new instruction out now that if anyone is on a non deployed status for a year that’s grounds for a Administrative Discharge? I feel like the ratings are taking forever, after I get ratings that’s when you get a date to? (For separation)

I haven't heard anything about that instruction. Do you know the reference? Once you get the ratings you can either accept them as is or appeal them if you feel you should be getting a higher percentage. If you accept them, that's when you begin the discharge process of being assigned a separation date and you can then take your job/house hunting leave during that period. Should you choose to appeal the ratings, the process can take longer as you would be going to a formal board for the appeal.

Hey @MattCollins7did you get your ratings back yet? That instruction doesn’t apply to people already in a medboard process.

Still waiting. I feel like my PEBLO should have received them by now. I did notice, however, on Ebenefits that the request for documents are now listed as "No longer needed" as of yesterday. Any insight on what that means?!

I kind of figured if that instruction applied to me, I would have heard something about it by now.
