Covid Timeline and Questions

Hello, short term lurker and new member. I wanted to post my current timeline amidst the current situation. I am in Germany, active Air Force. Currently awaiting any information back from PBELO and the VA. I've had one appointment so far, with no contact on setting up another. My case is being handled by VES, which I've heard mixed things about. Anyway, thanks for reading this far my quick questions are:

  • My VA case timeline says May 2021, does this hold any accuracy? (On the VA website)
  • I have heard the VA is handling cases by looking through records, instead of doing any exam at all. If so will I be notified this has been done or do I just have to wait and see if they update anything?
  • How long do results from an exam usually show up on the VA website?
  • Is AFPC still working cases?
Thanks in advance!

A short synopsis of the timeline I'm dealing with, dates are vague but it gets the point across of where I am in the process:

January 2020: Official code 37 on profile
February 2020: Narsum written
March 2020: first PEBLO contact/ commander intent letter/ intro brief
March 2020: NARSUM submitted/ Commander intent for DNR signed and submitted/ Contact with VA to claim conditions/ AFPC recommends MEB
April 2020: Second contact with VA, told appointments are cancelled aside from virtual get scheduled with a virtual MH appointment
May 2020: Virtual MH appointment completed, no more information

I'm in Maryland and my VA MSC told me no exams are happening until the contractor gets the green light to resume, not even virtual/telephonic.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't even heard that information, the last I heard they were going to do as much as they could virtually. Good to know you've had some contact with your MSC. Now it's just a more of a waiting game I suppose.

Pretty much. I tried to get the MH portion done virtually but it was a no-go. Hopefully we'll see some movement in the next month since states appear to be opening again.

I was thinking being overseas would be a little easier, Germany has already opened up most things to an extent. I'm guessing it will just be based off of what they are doing in the states though. I'm also wondering what differences I'm going to see since I did my MH virtually, kind of nervous about that.

Greetings,

Currently in the same boat as you. Started everything back I’m March and have made my preliminary claims aside from my P3 triggering issues. Have talked to my MSC and they have contacted QTC just waiting on any appointments they may provide me. Other then that it’s just a waiting game for me.
Stationed in Fort Bliss TX.
Have you scheduled any legal appointments?

Sorry I don't get on here much.
I still have no word on any type of progress for exam appointments. I contacted everyone I could and they all said it is indefinite. I have not made any legal appointments yet, but I am considering my options of when/ if I should look into it. I have a few job offers that I would like to pursue, and this is just holding me up right now. I do not want to wait what seems like another year for this to go through. If anyone has any updates on exams I would appreciate it, so far I'm stuck.

Same boat as you all been waiting since march. Qtc where mh appointments are done is still closed. I'm hoping we open in June and get an appointment mid July.

It's very dependent on your locality. Here in San Antonio, they are scheduling everything except dental and respiratory exams. I just did mental health Tuesday, audiology the week prior, and the rest of my medical exams are next Tuesday.

Keep calling qtc. I have called daily because the soonest general medical exam they would give me was July 1st. They finally rescheduled me today for next week. But it's all about persistence.

That's true and where I'm at a base in Georgia Qtc is literally closed.

Anyone's Dental on hold? If so, how is this affecting your MEB?

I know dental is on hold but I didn't claim anything dental so I didn't have to worry about it.

For my respiratory claim, I had them take it off so it didn't need to be evaluated before moving forward. I am going to claim it after I'm out

Yeah, thats what they are telling me. They said if I want to get on with the process I would need to take my dental claim off...but then again I have bad TMJ that would probably get 30%....So im not sure what I should do.

Has anyone had updates on exams yet? I have no word from any side regarding doing the rest of my C&P's.

It all depends on your locality but I would be persistent and contact qtc consistently to ensure you get them scheduled as soon as they open up in your area.

I contacted the contractor who is doing my exams and they still have no date, as well as my PEBLO and the VA. Is there anywhere else I should reach out to, or am I just stuck waiting until those people hear something?

I call QTC everyday. I want my dental exam scheduled.

Well it's back open for me as I did all but one exam today. Had the Psych exam not sure how it went lasted about 40 minutes

Your dbq should be available in about two days or less in your documents page on tricare online and you can estimate your rating based on what's selected
