Finally, got my PEB findings today and was told that orders (generally) are taking about 2 months with counsel (makes it faster to have counsel) to be cut from both my JAG and the ombudsman. I was given TDRL 50% (VA comes later for us legacy types) and was told that more than likely after 6 months I would be moved to PDRL (this is for MH). Its important to not I have been non-operational since about January. Also, was found not Combat related but was told that if applied with proof (specific) CRSC should still be granted under the USCG authorization act of 2015 (see my other CRSC post for more details. I hope this helps other USCG members going through this process, feedback here or DM is always welcome. God bless.

Hello @Elementglt

I had quite a few interactions with Coasties regarding CRSC on another board several years ago. I can PM the link [for the USCG discussions] to you if you would like to review those discussions.

All good Ron thank you as always. you've been very helpful throughout this process and are a life saver in my book!

Congrats, and if I could get that letter I would appreciate it. Y’all are a huge help mine is in legal review

Happy New Year all,

anyone get any good news, or news for that matter, seems like we’re all stuck in legal review.
Hello and Happy New Year,

Waiting for orders, but I do have some good news in terms of time-line. As of the first week in December 2020 there is no legal review within the USCG for the time being (I remember being told for next 6 months). There was a wavier granted to skip this process (I'm sure due to Covid-19), but the wait time for with legal is approximately 2 months (according to the ombudsmen). I was told as well that with a Jag (legal rep) the time is cut down a bit (from 3-4 month wait to 1-2). As of the same week mentioned above I was 95th in line to get orders, you have to do your own math to some extent. As soon as I find out more I will post here for y'all, God bless.

So you’re saying:
There is no legal review and or there is a waiver to skip legal review? (which doesn’t sound possible or legal, no pun intended)

and where does one find out where they are in the stack? I didn’t request a legal rep because I didn’t want to slow things down. Just wanted to accept the findings and move along.

Hello,

I thought it sounded questionable as well, but my Jag and the CRSC rep (HS1 type) confirmed (separately) the legal review wavier. So yes I am saying as of right now in order to process members faster there is not a current legal review for the next 6 months (started first week of Dec 2020). Also, as far as the stack this was told to me by the CRSC rep, she went on to inform me she has a position in the issuing of terminal orders (gave me confidence to believe her). Please be aware this was done during small talk while I was inquiring about multiple things (CRSC requirements, percentile etc.)

I am confused because the Ombudsman from the end board sent me an email Monday saying it is in legal review? Is this not correct and she has bad information?

Hello,

Well after discussing this with another member I have found out that it is waived only if you have legal representation (JAG). However, in terms of these emails I would be cautious in general taking them as face value. In my experience they seem to be a copy and paste standard (manual or TCTO screen shots) and this being a temporary wavier this standard is most likely constant. In layman's terms they probably just say almost there and capture that in a general/convenient sense. My experience consisted of the online data base (med board tracker from the HS office) said I was in one place, but the ombudsman via phone would say otherwise. Led me to believe that the database was not being kept consistent and this is most likely the same in a different context. Good luck and hope both of ours come quick.

Thanks for the info, where did you find a database? And is there a way for me to find mine? Lol

Hello,

The local HS was able to access it for me and others going through a similar process. We had a weekly check in time and she pulled me up within 5 minutes. I don't know how versed you are in the service, but she described it on permission bases only (kind of like MISLE for HS's). so, that being said probably not for us non HS types.

Just called PSC Med, she looked it up for me and I am 6th in line for legal review. There are 23 cases remaining in legal review so I hope in the next week or two

Nice did you just cold call PSC Med? or was this an email schedule type of arrangement?

Anyone know where you can find retirement orders in DA?
Here is the Human Resource Command's web page (Army): LINK <----

Links are provided to the various departments.

I retired three decades ago, but Army orders were usually prepared locally at the time.
