    Advisory to all posters

I doubt that anyone involved officially in his PEB read his posts to him. Now, I will say that I have met people in real life who posted on this site and another site; the reason I knew is because they posted personal information, when known together with the info I knew about them in real life...

TDRL orders came back ......WTF? They screwed me?

Yes the statememt about "direct result of armed conflict" has NO effect on CRSC. But going from 100% to 70% may; it depends on the years in service and your VA rating. In reality it went down from 75% to 70% because 75% was the max you could receive even with a 100% TDRl rating.

    Slow VA time....

If you received Severance Pay there will be an offset to your monthly VA disability amount. Unless your med board condition was diagnosed in a combat zone. Just wanted to prepare you in case the exclusion doesn't appy to you.

    PDRL Calculation

Disabilty retirememt is your active length of service. Which will be used to calculate your cRSC if your VA disability conditions are approved as combat related by your branch. The Basic Pay is your years of service for Base Pay which includes Reserve / Guard time. Your Retirement will be...

    URGENT RESPONCE PLEASE

Now I feel better; before I was thinking you were saying at age 60 CRDP kicked in and restored their Reserve Retirement which is thousands more. We agree that IN THIS CASE that CRSC = CRDP based on active years of service. But you then stated the CRDP would be calculated by dividing points by...

    URGENT RESPONCE PLEASE

So I am not convince of this yet and here are some of my concerns. Reserve soldier with a ""20 year letter" but only 5 years Active Duty is placed on PDRL at the age of 40 by an Active Duty med board. While on PDRL he is approved for CRSC at 100%. His Length of service retirement (or MAX CRSC)...

    URGENT RESPONCE PLEASE

Jason, I have read what you posted about eligibility for CRDP. That last paragraph about CRDP eligibility, in my opinion - does not apply to a mobilized reservist processed for an Active Duty PEB. There are Active Duty PEB's and Non-Active Duty PEB's where the member is processed for Non Line...

    URGENT RESPONCE PLEASE

If you accept an active duty med retirement you are not given a choice at age 60 to "switch" to a reserve retirement. You have to elect one or the other; the decision is irrevocable. Jason, If you can show me where it converts at age 60 I have alot of people that will benefit.

    URGENT RESPONCE PLEASE

Even though you have your 20 year letter you are not eligible for CRDP if you accept an active duty medical retirement. If you waive the active duty med retirement in lieu of reserve retirememt at age 60 you would qualify for CRDP BUT you would not receive TRICARE for you & family until age 60...

    ADSW- LOD- FIRED

My understanding is that ADSW orders are only approved for 30 days. And then a set of 30 day orders are given. Now this can continue for years but each order is no more than 30 days at a time. So would that regulation apply to ADSW in this instance? Now Reservists can be Placed on ADSW orders...

17 years service what should I do?

Your post is a little confusing. Were you Placed on TDRL at 70% in 2009 and then at your first review they found you fit for duty? If so you will be separated without severance. I would definitely appeal for a formal board; is that what the TDRL review decision was or did they recemmend you...

National Guard on Active Duty CRDP Eligibility

My understanding is that choosing to accept an Active Duty medical retirement VOIDS your 20 year guard/reserve letter. If you select the AD med retirement; there is NO changeover to Guard/Reserve retirement at age 60. It's one or the other; AND the decision is CAN NOT BE CHANGED once it is made.

National Guard on Active Duty CRDP Eligibility

The choice would be between AD medical retirement & Regular non-disability reserve retirement at age 69. The restoring AD years is in reference to CRSC compensation. Once your retirement is offset by va comp; CRSC restores your retirement pay BUT only at Length of service amount based on years...

    Bad Lasik eye surgery

Elective surgeries, if received on Active Duty, and any residuals qualify for service connection. As far as level of disability, it would be rated under Eye Conditions.
