  • I just recieved my results form my PEB, I am on the TDRL (as expected) for PTSD. However it did annotate that my injury is combat related. I am having my follow up review in a short 6 months. What is the typical outcome after this review?
What is the "pyramiding" rule for psyciactric diagnosis? Since these conditions are combat related and documented as such would I be elidgible for the CRSC payments?
    Jason,
Thank you for your insight. One question I have, are Migraines, considered a mental contition? Would it be an option for me to attach my entire med board package and hav eyou take a look at it?

    Thanks
    Mike
    Michael,

It certainly sounds like your condition is unfitting. If it is, I think you should get to 30% based on what you have written. However, it is always possible they rate you less.

You may have some issue with getting more than one psychiatric diagnosis rated because of "pyramiding."

More important than your career field is the impact your condition has on your ability to perform your duties. Very important is the type of limitations you have, if they are current or lessened because of treatment, and what your command and doctors recommend.

As far as the meds, I can't give you any insight into the medical part of that question. But from a legal point of view, it may indicate to the board that you are not "stabilized" and thus a good candidate for TDRL (which is a very common outcome with mental disorders).

I hope this was helpful and I wish you the best of luck through this process.
