DES Pilot Case using A Joint DOD/VA Disability Evaluation

I emailed her a copy of the forms I mentioned and she told me she was going to pass it on to her case manager. I'll post their response as soon as I receive it. I thought my case was IDES so when she told me that it was Legacy it came as a surprise. If it wasn't for this forum I would have...

DES Pilot Case using A Joint DOD/VA Disability Evaluation

She informed me that my case was a Legacy case, not IDES thus the reason for not using the VA ratings. However, I checked my initial MEB packet and it states on the first page (DA-5889) that my case is a DES Pilot Case with a case #. My packet includes a Joint/VA Disability Evaluation Pilot...

DES Pilot Case using A Joint DOD/VA Disability Evaluation

Isn't this the IDES system and not the Legacy? It states on my DA-5889 that my case is a DES Pilot Case File with a number. Thanks!

Change from IDES to Legacy from initial placement of TDRL to PDRL?

I was told by my new IWA PEBLO that my case was never IDES and has been Legacy all along. I have my initial PEB packet and it states on the DA5889 that my case is a DES Pilot case and even has a case #. Shouldn't that be proof enough that my case was an IDES case?

Change from IDES to Legacy from initial placement of TDRL to PDRL?

Does anyone know why this happens? It allows the DOD to give you a lower rating than the VA has established for you on those same conditions resulting in a lower retirement income!! Any ideas why or if this is legal or not?

TDRL to PDRL Question! Please help!!

It's rather strange because my TDRL reexam lasted only about 10 minutes and no ROM tests were done. So where are they getting the numbers to lower my shoulder rating when the VA's ROM exams deem me 30%? So do I just accept the PDRL at 60% if I don't want to mess with a formal board?

TDRL to PDRL Question! Please help!!

Yep. I talked to my PEBLO this morning after she replied to my email where I told her my case was IDES. She told me she looked it over and that my case was now Legacy. How did it change from IDES and why? Am I stuck with the lower numbers they gave me on the TDRL reexam? What should I do?

TDRL to PDRL Question! Please help!!

Ok. I just received my DA-199 and plan to talk with my PEBLO tomorrow to find out what I need to do to ensure I receive my current VA ratings for PDRL. I'll post her response and will not sign it until I discuss it with the forum. Thanks!

IDES ratings from TDRL to PDRL

When going from TDRL to PDRL through the IDES aren't your ratings supposed to mirror your VA ratings for your unfitting conditions?

Does your VA disability % change at TDRL reevaluation?

What is the DOD TDRL reevaluation trend? By law, are they supposed to use the VA ratings?

TDRL to PDRL Question! Please help!!

Need advice ASAP as I just received my 3 year TDRL reevaluation! I went on TDRL 3 years ago with 2 disabilities rated as unfitting. PTSD-50% and Left Shoulder Arthritis 20% for a TDRL rating of 60%. My DA-199 just came back with 50% PTSD and 10% Left Shoulder Arthritis 10% totaling 60%. However...

    TDRL to PDRL Question

I was put on TDRL 3 years ago and just yesterday was recommended to PDRL on my DA199. My question is in regards to time in service for final retirement income. I was at 14 years for my TDRL computation at 60% as Captain which at the time was $5800. Will I get the 3 years of TDRL time added to my...
