    Medical Board Questions, help!

Now the waiting begins. Once the VA docs finish typing up their DBQs (could take days or weeks), it gets sent to the MSC who sends it to your PEBLO. Your PEBLO will provide most of the paperwork to your Navy doc who did the Navy-side of your evaluation. They will then type up what's called a...

    Will inpatient effect my MEDBOAR

I’m sure they were waiting for you to finish your intensive outpatient program before starting everything. At least that’s what they did for me. I would give it a couple of days and reach back out to your care team to see if they put in the paperwork, yet, for the MED Board.

    Post medical retirement question

Do whichever you want. You can go out in town and see a doctor through TRICARE (you may end up getting a new PCM due to the retirement, but you may not) or go to the VA. But the VA will more than likely be free for you since you're rated above 50% on the VA side. While TRICARE is nice, paying...

    MEB question

Hmm. Then something is going on here. I'm sure your shirt will be able to clear it up with the PEBLO they contact.

    MEB question

Perfect! They all have access to the same system. Please let us know what comes of all of this!

    MEB question

I'll jump back in and throw my opinion. I wasn't Air Force (Navy, actually), but it sounds like there's miscommunication (or a lack thereof) from the doc. He could have said he was going to put you in for one, but never did. From the sounds of what's going on with you, I would put my money on...

    MEB question

What's Ai? Who told you that you were submitted for a MEB in July? Depending on where you're stationed (and your branch), you should do like Deatshoo1 suggested and go to your MTF and speak with the patient admin section on this to verify you were actually submitted for a MEB.

    Will inpatient effect my MEDBOAR

Have you taken medications before and experienced the increased suicidal ideations, or are you just going off of what you've heard? Like Chaps above said, take care of yourself. If that means to go in patient, do it. We are not medical providers on here, so we can't treat or diagnosis. But your...

    MEB question

Which branch are you? Location? Providing the forum more information will help us help you. Have you spoken to a PEBLO, yet?

    Proposed Findings

Please post what happens. I’m sure you won’t be the last to go through this. All information on this forum will be able to help someone in the future. Good luck. And happy Thanksgiving.

    Proposed Findings

Okay, then. I think you have your answer. Did the JAG tell you the next steps and anything else you need to do? Edit: Also, if you get it increased to 50% (there’s no guarantee), then your VA should increase some, as well. Right now, it’s hard to say without knowing each percentage and doing...

    Proposed Findings

Also, as an old CO of mine used to ask, “is the lemon worth the squeeze?” Is all of this extra work going to make a difference with anything in the end? Will it be worth it in the end? That’s the question I would ask yourself and the JAG.

    Proposed Findings

Hmmm. Interesting. But will doing this change your DoD rating at all? Like oddpedestrian stated, it may not make a difference if the social and occupational impairment is the same between diagnoses. For me, I would want the accurate diagnosis documented, but this should have been done from the...

    Proposed Findings

Just so you don't think I'm ignoring you, I don't have much experience with this. Hoping someone in this group does. Is this what the legal counsel suggested?

    First TDRL Exam

It might take the docs a few days to write up their reports, but I hope you’re able to view them before they go off to the board. Getting a second pair of eyes from legal counsel is something I wish I had done with my report. And that’s good they’re getting your xrays and such from the VA. All...
