New case and a few questions

Hi all! I just filed my DD294 a couple of weeks ago and got a case number. I was separated in 2007 at 10% lumbago, degenerative disc disease, etc. Does anyone know my chances? If I do get retirement, how does the back pay work? I’m rated 70% by the VA. Thanks for any and all advice.

We cant know your chances without reviewing your medical records. Remember they will only review records from your AD time nothing after you were out. 10% sounds low for an MEB unfitting just dont be surprised if they throw you a 20% which is still 10% shy of what you need. No backpay because you waive retirement to collect VA disability just Tricare benefits.

You will be rated based on your condition at the time of separation. How bad your condition was then will determine the outcome.
