    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

That is awesome brother. PDRL too, you lucky...... I have to go through this whole thing again in 18 months at my TDRL re-evaluation. It should definitely increase your DOD rating. So happy for you man, enjoy your retirement :)

@MattCollins7 That is a fantastic outcome from the DOD. Congratulations. The VA is easy, just get a few more supporting documents and ROM tests done and submit and VARR and your VA rating will be changed. Did you get TDRL or PDRL?

    DDD/Spinal Fusion Timeline

@NavalEagle @Kestrel45 @ctsusmc Hey guys, sorry to hear that you are all still waiting for ratings, it is disappointing that the Navy tries to low ball sailors and marines when it comes to back injuries but if they do then take the fight to them and request a Formal board. My formal board went...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

@MattCollins7 Brother, I am so sorry that you are still waiting. We started the same time and I am almost done after having gone to a formal board already! It should be back any day now. Just try focus on the fact that it is a few months extra pay.

It’s normally blue’s, I chose at the last moment to do mine over the phone as my newborn son is currently in the critical care NICU.

I just had my FPEB. They granted me 50% DOD on TDRL and were so nice, they didn’t grill me or anything, they just asked a few questions and then gave me their stipulation. They gave me both arm radiculopathy. The head board member explained everything and it was over in about 15 minutes. I had...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

So guys I have to completely take back what I said above. I just had my FPEB and I couldn’t have had a more amazing board. They granted me 50% DOD on TDRL and were so nice, they didn’t grill me or anything, they just asked a few questions and then gave me their stipulation. They gave me both arm...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

Hey guys, yeah.... it’s a complete low ball and I think that the system is flawed. I have my FPEB tomorrow. I have presented all the PEB instructions SECNAVINST 1850.4E that clearly says that radiculopathy rated shall be rated on its own. My lawyer said that they don’t go by the instructions and...

Navy Timeline | Spinal Fusion + PTSD

@ArcticWarrior907 congrats on retirement, thank you for your 21 years of service. I hope that the transition is a smooth one. The VA rated me as follows: Sleep Apnea @ 50% Cervical Stenosis “neck pain” @ 20% Left upper extremity Radiculopathy @ 20% Right upper extremity Radiculopathy @ 20%...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

So it isn't even back at the PEB for final QA phase? That is crazy! I'm really just frustrated that the PEB combines condiytions and then doesn't add any rating to the final rating! I think the process is definitely open for improvement. I hope that your findings come back better than mine. Your...

Post your timelines - Spinal IPEB/FPEB

@ctsusmc, I’m almost positive my findings will go the same way. I just want to know “legally” how they are able to do this? It is clearly outlined in the VSARD. I think we should get all the guys that have radiculopathy issues that weren’t given a rating but contributed to the unfit finding...

@RichDaniel welcome, So basically after talking to my lawyer, it really depends on what Dr sits on your board. She actually laughed when I told her and she said, they have been doing this for ages and it is amazing that they still able to continue to do it. Saying that, I really hope that you...

@Nhoover500 I know a few guys who have 100% and actually still hold federal jobs so I’m pretty sure you are good to go. Yeah I’m an E5 with two boys under 2 and the sole earner in my household, another reason I am fighting to keep medical coverage. I’ve only been in 4years so getting to 100%...

I KNOW Plenty guys that haven’t had surgery and have been medically retired. Really it comes down to range of motion and that is what I’m fighting because they are saying that the radiculopathy isn’t unfitting. I hope you get retirement and don’t have to go to the formal board.
