I would call AFPC retirements and tell them you have been waiting (note sure when you received your memorandum letter) and need to know where you are at in the process. I am not sure what they mean by, "you are going through the approval portions of the process"? Everything has already been...

Did you already receive the Memorandum in the mail directing the AF to change your records?

I received this same email from the PDBR when I first emailed them. This was after my PDBR case was approved. If AFPC has the directive to change your records, you should be getting these in the mail. Did you try emailing the PDBR again?

Retirement Process for Air Force (PDBR)

A couple of pointers I have learned through this process: * After you receive your letter from the Air Force stating that the directive has been sent to change your records, I highly advise keeping an eye on milconnect daily for your new orders and DD-214 in DPRIS. These will show up much...

Yes. The retired tab showed up as soon as I got my ID. You can also enroll in TriCare. I had to call TriCare, due to issues with the website, but only took a few minutes.

Yes. It was under the DPRIS section. Make sure to select all. Don’t check just orders. When I did that nothing came up. They moved me to active duty then were supposed to to move to retired status and got stuck yesterday. I’m at the base now trying to get it taken care of.

    Post PDBR: Retirement Orders

Interesting. AF told me same thing. They stated orders were mailed to my residence on Aug. 30th. Still have not seen them. Emailed them back last Monday and and they stated I need to wait two more weeks!

Did you receive the letter via mail from the board stating your records are being changed and the memorandum with the directive to the chief of staff directing them to change your orders? Forward the response you got from MyPERS to the PDBR board and ask for an...

Retirement Process for Air Force (PDBR)

Call the AFPC total force service center: 210-565-0102 to start. Just follow the prompts to retirements. I would simply mention, " my records have been recently changed, my DD2656/SBP election was submitted 30 days ago and would like to know the status of my retirement." This is what I did...

Retirement Process for Air Force (PDBR)

Hello and congrats on your retirement. Looks like you found the forum with contact info for the AF. AFPC would be the next step for you to contact regarding your SBP and DD2656. It is really hit-or-miss on who you talk to there and if they can help you. Also try MyPERS online and send an...

    Approved...timeline and a question

Received letter from the board by mail today. One was explaining the process after we receive our orders/new DD214. It states that the process to change records/DFAS could take several months. The emailed me last Thursday stating my orders were mailed to my home on Aug 30. Still no sign of...

Retirement Process for Air Force (PDBR)

I would continue to forward the emails you get from AFPC to the board. I find it interesting that according to the email they wrote me in the original post they sure did have a lot of information for me for not being part of the process after a decision?!? I am honestly not sure what I did to...
