    My Story

On a whim I checked my myPay Changed/Updated RAS and sure as shit, there it is. On the 2nd I'll be getting paid $63k. I haven't been this excited to pay bills in a LONG time. So, here is the severance pay timeline: August 3rd: Accepted PEB Decision and elected to receive disability severance...

    Severance pay question

heketr42, the only thing I wanna caution against is that I was discharged on the 30th of September and still haven't received my disability severance pay. So...you know, be ready to be "patient".

Denied SSDI because i'm on AD still.

Hey man, I'm student social worker and I can tell you that SSDI will be 99% of the time rejected the first time you apply. It's an unwritten rule. Do yourself a favor and hit up the salvation army or perhaps a local case management service for help preparing your application. It isn't...

    My Story

All the regs on my post are from this site with the exception of Army Regulation 15–80 Army Grade Determination Review Board and Grade Determinations 12 July 2002. You're telling me to do research...lol... The conflicting regs on this site are why I've had to do research. LOL

Fort Hood Retiree Services/DFAS says no TDRL pay or severance

No. But if you take the link that is attached to my signature, you'll be able to read my post-TDRL story. My circumstances are different from your I would assume but there are plenty of "entertaining" twist and turns to be read... I hope your process is smooth, quick, and as painless as can be.

    My Story

There is so much conflicting information about all of this on the internet man. That's what I'm trying to correct with this thread. It's been 84 days since DFAS received my package. LOL.

    My Story

LOL...now I know why I thought that 12 years 6 months would round up to 13 years... WTF is wrong with the people I'm talking to at DFAS? This paper was sent to me by the Department of the Navy. I guess the Navy doesn't know WTF it's talking about...

Fort Hood Retiree Services/DFAS says no TDRL pay or severance

Keebs is dead on. You should rate CRSC and not a dime of it should be taxed or "recouped." In your orders from the Army, it should say this or something like this: If it does, you're golden.

    My Story

Called DFAS on Monday and as it turns out, they don't round up years of service. For example, I've seen where it says something to the effect that if you have for example; 12 years and 6 months of service, that would round up to 13 years for your payment. That is absolutely not correct from...

    Severance pay question

Shouldn't your PEB decision paperwork come back stating that your injury was combat related and not subject to being recouped by the VA? I know mine did.

Severance pay from TDRL timeline and tax question

If you are asking me Michaelloque, I'm still waiting... I have a running blog about it here... :-( http://www.pebforum.com/threads/my-story.41580/

    My Story

DFAS says that my claim was submitted to review on the 15th which is cool because that means that the actions that the CSR took worked and the process continues. The review is the final approval needed to pay the account. I was told that the review can take up to 30 days. So maybe before...

    My long timeline

Just found out yesterday that my severance pay was in audit for the past 45 days because after a debt was resolved, no one picked it back up to work on it. We have to stay on top of our paperwork. I'm glad to hear that you will be getting the CRSC. That will kick in the month after you get out.
