    3m "Combat Earplugs" Lawsuit - earplug-claims.com - legitimate?

I keep seeing stuff for this website in ads online. I meet all the criteria including ratings for moderate-severe hearing loss and tinnitus. Is this legit and is there any downside for me registering?

IPEB Recommended TDRL For 60% Rated Asthma

I requested FPEB to have TDRL changed to PDRL. My FPEB attorney called me, asked me what I wanted from the board, I told him I wanted it switched and sent him a memo from my doc backing it up (i.e. not likely to change in next 5 years etc). A few days later he called back and said he talked to...

If you are DOD TDRL/PDRL retired with less than 20 years of service please read.

POTUS already signed the final bil into law. The Ch. 61 stuff was an amendment to the Senate version of the bill. Since the House & Senate versions differed they had to go to conference to merge the two. According to MOAA the Ch. 61 stuff didn't survive the joint conference. The confusing...

Nobody knows what's going on. MOAA rep said it wasn't included so I'm inclined to believe them & doubt it made it in.

Anticipating TDRL, could a VARR submission to request PDRL be worth the time and effort?

IIRC my NARSUM had a part in it about "likely to change within 5 years" and a yes/no answer. Unless things have changed the answer to that question was used to determine if a condition was stable or not. I'd see if there is similar language in your NARSUM. Anything answered "no" would be a...

Anticipating TDRL, could a VARR submission to request PDRL be worth the time and effort?

What does your NARSUM say about the stability of the referred conditions? IIRC if any of the conditions are found to be unstable you will be placed on the TRDL unless your stable conditions exceed 80%. Also, if your other referred conditions are rated as stable and you end up on the TDRL only...

As I understand it the 303 & 333 bills are not relevant to this specific NDAA bill (HR 5515) we have been talking about the past few days. The HoR passed their version of the FY2019 NDAA as #5515. The Senate took the 5515 and amended it with 400+ various items. The Senate then passed that...

I called my representative's offices and left a concise polite message in support of Senator Heller's veteran's concurrent receipt amendments 2394 & 2395 embedded in Senate amendment 2282 to HR 5515 (NDAA 2019). I also send a note to MOAA explaining, according to the congress.gov website, Sen...

I called Heller's office this morning to leave a polite message in support of 2394 & 2395 in the conference. The guy answering the phone wrote it all down but I got the impression he had no idea what I was talking about.

Ok, after after combing through everything here is what I think has happened (keep in mind I'm just a layman in these matters): The original 2 amendments from Heller (2394 & 2395) got rolled into 2282. 2282 passed as the senate's proposed changes to the houses' original 5515 that the house...

Tone of the MOAA's message on senate version doesn't sound good IMO http://www.moaa.org/Content/Take-Action/Top-Issues/Currently-Serving/Senate-Passes-Defense-Bill--Here-Are-The-Key-Takeaways.aspx

So what is Monday? The HOR vote on NDAA? And then the conference? Correct me if I'm wrong, but looks like the HOR passed their version in May. The Senate passed theirs this past week. So the conference to join the two is the next step. Did the HOR version have the ch61 stuff in it?

    PDRL Reduction?

The question comes up fairly often here. My understanding is that barring legislative changes there isn't really any mechanism for a PDRL change to take place without you asking for it. Hopefully some of the smart folks can chime in with a more concise answer. I have to admit I still haven't...

Help with Post 911 GI Transfer

I did the TEB and went through MEB/PEB afterwards, but before I had met the ADSO requirement for the transfer. I got in touch with the folks at Army HRC that handle the TEB and explained the situation. I ultimately provided them post-PEB retirement orders and they replied with an updated COE...

Permanent DoD. What happens if I say Piss off to the VA?

I've previously received bad info from multiple VA folks that should have known better. AFAIK, subject to future changes in law, PDRL is permanent and separate from whatever the VA wants to do. VA ratings have inherent benefits beyond the obvious monetary award so it's a good thing to have...
