    MEB SC Question

I would be wary of diagnosing yourself and claiming conditions that you have not been diagnosed with, especially something as big as parkinsons. Parkinsons should be diagnosed by a neurologist via review of medical history, neuro tests, etc.. I think the bigger issue would be, if you are...

    MEB SC Question

I'm a bit confused, you said you were MEB'ed for symptoms of Parkinsonism but were not diagnosed with Parkinsons. So what was the actual condition the doctor referred you for?

    Usmc PEB timeline question

Maybe worth No problem. I believe it took about three weeks after the ratings were sent to the PEB for me to get them. Sometimes (and in some branches) it only takes a few days. After your package is done at the PEB, it will be sent back to your PEBLO. Your PEBLO should call you in for you...

    Usmc PEB timeline question

The same thing happened to me. I called the VA and the rep said they mailed my ratings to me, this was not correct. I didnt and still haven't gotten any paperwork sent to my house. I had to wait until the PEB finalized my unfit ratings and sent the whole package back to the PEBLO.

    Usmc PEB timeline question

For Navy/USMC, after the VA sends your ratings back it can sometimes take 2 or 3 weeks until you get the final packet back from the PEB.

    My Navy Timeline for Fibro

I believe your Commodore could definitely make it happen with a call to PERS. From what I was told, the timeline is 90 days to give time for the checkout process but with extenuating circumstances (like yours) it can be moved up by request of your command. Seems like you already have...

    My Navy Timeline for Fibro

Have you talked to your command and/or PERS about an earlier retirement date? From what I've been told, the Navy sets your separation date as 90 days from when you accept your DOD ratings but you can "try" to request they cut them for an earlier date. I know nothing about this and just decided...

    My Navy Timeline for Fibro

My PEBLO told me today it takes a few weeks on average, but for Officers its usually on the longer end. She said with signing for ratings by the end of this month (by tomorrow), the retirement date for my orders should be the end of July.

    My Navy Timeline for Fibro

Question for you all: How does it work if you are placed on the TDRL? Do you still get a DD214 and/or Retiree ID Card. I'm looking at future career/education options and am unsure at what my status and documentation will be if I am TDRL. I'm 90% sure if I get retirement it will be TDRL, as I...

    My Navy Timeline for Fibro

I called everyone I could (PEBLO, IDES Counsel, etc.), and eventually was told where it was. It's been with the Navy 3.5 weeks, which I think is much longer than average. I'm not sure what is causing the delay for everyone, other branches seem to get the branch approval within a few days to a...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

@MattCollins7 Any update? I have heard several times that it should be any day now and the PEB final certification process usually does not take this long (3+ weeks)...

    My Navy Timeline for Radiculopathy

You and I are on a similar timeline. My ratings were sent back to the PEB on the 3rd of this month. My PEBLO did not call to update me on this, she only notifies when the package is back from the PEB. Seems to be common in the Navy system...

Too late to add a condition?

I think one issue you may run into with the fibromyalgia diagnosis/claim is he hasn't actually been treated for fibromyalgia. Gabapentin is one of many drugs used to treat/manage fibro, in my case they started with Gabapentin but over the course of eighteen months tried three others, as well as...

    Found Fit

Did your commander recommend fit or unfit? Do you have any evidence of the toll this has taken on you? Pain management records, etc. The diagnosis alone usually will not suffice (with the exception of a handful of physical conditions), the key is to gather as much evidence as possible to prove...
