Look in historical claims. When you have a closed historical claim it is finished and sent back to PEB. You will have your original claim remain open until you submit your DD214 to finalize your ratings. I am clearing post now. Everything is finished, my timeline is in my signature block.

That seems to be the average here but the two week Christmas leave period is coming so I am being realistic about the Army shutting down for two weeks.

    Army MEB Dashboard Explained

It has had moments where I thought it would never end. However, I have been lucky, some timelines on here span over a year plus. Now with the Christmas leave about to start I know for two weeks the whole army is going to shut down, so that may extend my wait for orders a bit.

My claim closed on 9 Nov and went to PEB, I signed my 199 on 7 Dec. My original claim now says gathering of evidence and will stay that way until I submit my DD214 to the VA. Now to wait on orders.

Asthma and "high dose" corticosteroids definition

Signed my 199 on the 7th. 30% for my asthma, you can see post 22 and 23 for my evaluation. The VA gave me 50% by combining my CPAP and asthma but PEB separated them.

    Army MEB Dashboard Explained

So it's Tuesday morning and the dashboard is updated. In the new picture you can see that my estimated finish date/s have changed by a few days. This is because my actual days in the system have changed AND the Army average number of days have changed. This is normal, however many on this forum...

    Army MEB Dashboard Explained

I was told to "expect" my 199 this week. I won't hold my breath though. The dashboard is only available if your in the system. I think if I remember correctly it was available shortly after my in-brief. The in-brief never actually mentioned it to me either. I knew about it from having Soldiers...

Asthma and likely separation from Air Guard

First off before anything you need to go to a pulmonologist. I am being medically retired for Asthma and other conditions. If all you take is singular and a rescue inhaler you may want to inquire about other meds. Advair discus, Spiriva, Breo. I went through several until Breo was invented and I...

As the moderator I figure your the best person for this. Just posted what I'd consider a resource. Army MEB Dashboard Explained is the name of the post. I put it in Army case timelines. If there is somewhere better I can put it there as well or you can move it. Thanks.

    Army MEB Dashboard Explained

Looking through this forum I see a lot of reference to the IDES dashboard and frustration. This is to clear up questions and misunderstandings with the MEB Dashboard for Army Soldiers who may misunderstand what information it actually provides. Please feel free to comment or critique. I do hope...

    Humira MED board Retirement ???

You can absolutely fight to stay in. The biggest thing is if you can perform your duty or not. You can fight and appeal the MEB and PEB portion if they find you unfit to try to continue service. but again I'm going by an Army MEB/PEB standpoint.

    Humira MED board Retirement ???

I know the Army has a packet you can fill out called a Continue on Active Duty (COAD). This is to keep people from losing a retirement. The requirement is that you have over 15 yrs Active. Your Branch may have something similar. This allows you to stay and retire despite MEB finings.

To do the same on ebenifits; manage, compensation, compensation claim status, open claims (click date), scroll down and under needed from you. You can see all the document requests for your claim here is the screen shot of ebenifits.

Sorry mixing ebenifits and vets.gov terminology, in vets.gov go to the open claim, Youll see 3 boxes Status/Files/ Details. Click files, scroll down and you'll see files requests, I have 10 of them, one is where they asked for my initial entry physical, one says PEB packet received. Others are...

    My timeline

Here is another thing to check, when my PEB packet hit the VA system there was a document request listed for it where they received it. It only showed up in Vets.gov (under request from others). My claim bounced back and forth from Preparation for notification to evidence gathering like 10...

Where are you in your case?

The thing about the completion date is when your claim is finalized after you get a DD214. Look in closed claims and you should see a new closed claim, that is where your case was finished and sent back to the PEB. The original claim we keep watching and its completion date will close once you...
