Does Officer Candidate School time count towards severance pay calculation?

Not sure I understand the above. I did end of completing my service obligation, and so it seems that my years of service should actually go towards my severance pay time computation. However, when I was selected to serve in select reserve I only accrued 45 points, not 50, so therefore I do not...

Does Officer Candidate School time count towards severance pay calculation?

If I understand correctly, OCS in other branches is akin to our Basic Officer Leadership Course (Army). If this is the case, my BOLC training did count towards my separation pay. What didn't count toward my pay was the time spent in what is called the Health Professions Scholarship Program...

    VA 100% P&T

Wow.... I am in the same boat. Or was. I had 100 P&T. Final ratings will be when when I am off AD. MSC recommended I don't file them. I already had 100% proposed, so his reasoning was why mess with that? However, I spoke with his supervisor, MSC supervisor in my area, who said that I SHOULD...

    VA 100% P&T

Could you please clarify what you mean here? I am not sure what you mean by "five years it takes two exams to reduce your rating"

    VA 100% P&T

Okay. That is my understanding as well.

    VA 100% P&T

DoD is 20%. So medically separating. No PDRL or TDRL technically b/c it is under 30%. But condition is considered permanent and I am medically separating.

    VA 100% P&T

I have had my MSC confirm this and put my concerns to rest, but I wanted to ask the forum and get any feedback. I am 100% P and T by VA and am working on transferring my care. Going forward I will stay on top of my medical care but there are times when medications are prescribed or other forms...

What is travel allowance when medically separating in POV?

Well I just got out of my finance brief and I got a little different information. oh well. My wife and I will be reimbursed at a rate of 120$/day. We get .17, not .20 cents per mile (per POV). For our dependents, we got 75% of our amount (both are over 12). My question, and I forgot to...

    After 199 signed

So, 4187 and Leave form were both signed and extensions granted. Things are now with USPDA. This all happened about mid-friday so we have not heard back and I am not surprised. To my knowledge hearing back from USPDA is a quick process so I expect to hear from them and have new orders cut...

What is travel allowance when medically separating in POV?

I have the same question. I am clearing this week, hopefully Tues. and I can ask this question to Finance as I clear. I have the exact same question. I will return and report.

    After 199 signed

So I was notified that everything is signed and I now have signed leave form with control #. I notified and sent all documents to TransProc. They mention that they now have to sent everything to PDA for signatures so that new orders and working DD214 can be generated. I see on here that for...

    Bliss Timeline

I went back and read this thread as I am in a similar boat. Noticed the anticipated severance pay was increased from 156,000 to 171,000. Did you discover something as you went through the process that increased the amount? Or did they calculate years, plus any additional months you had served.

    Bliss Timeline

Okay.... good to know. So it looks like the overall amount can only go into one's account in installments up to 99,999.99? My severance pay will be slightly less, but in the same ball-park, so this is a relevant question for me. Did they tell you when the f/u installment will take effect?
