It does hold weight but the NMA is their opinion of how your condition affects your ability to do your job. They are not supposed to give a reccomendation of retirement. Also, the only thing that determines med retirement is your DOD rating. So they could write it all day but if you get 20%...

Your command should also be doing your NMA(non-medical assessment)...

Be ready. It comes quick. Like I said, I got my rating oct 26 and my retirement date is dec 30. Just take a breath every so often and prioritize what you need to do. Reach out to support if you're having issues or concerns. It may feel impossible but it is very possible

Thanks and no problem. At this point, just be patient with MMSR4. They have to process it within 24 hours of receipt. The PEB processing and sending it to HQMC is the hard part. Good luck!

If you just got them, MMSR4 won't have the results. It has to go to the PEB and then they send it to MMSR4. I'd estimate about 2 weeks, maybe 3 with thanksgiving. If you're retiring, I'd estimate Jan 30. If separating, Jan 15. And PTAD can be broken up mon-fri if you are staying in the local...

Honestly, I haven't heard of what you are going through. Normally you get the fitness determination with the proposed ratings. Then you sign agreeing or request a formal board. If you agree, you get your new EAS and transition out. I reccomend asking on that Facebook group
