Unit giving me a hard time.

I have had to deal with idiots like the one you are decribing before and after exhausting all avenues except going to the IG I had a bad day and gave him a verbal lashing which resulted in me losing a stripe. I was quite a bit younger and a whole lot less wiser than I am now and I made a...

    AFPC Timelines post VA.

AFPC takes too long to do everything throughout the IDES process. Just look at my timeline below for proof. I am now waiting on them to do my seperation orders and I was told 10 business days by my PEBLO but would be suprised if I got them in May. I have no faith in their ability to do...

Sleep Aphnea and CPAP monitoring by the VA

I haven't yet. My pulmonologist read it last month and the VA will likely ask for the records sometime in the future. I was 92% compliant and that was due to having a sinus infection a few days and not being able to breathe through my nose and having a nasal mask. I hated my CPAP at first but...

    Severance Pay Base Pay Question

I guess LOD means something else in your case. If you are AD then they round up to 12. I thought LOD was for "Line of Duty" and maybe it is Length of Duty or something else. The base pay is base pay at the time of seperation. Hope I was able to help and I wish you best of luck.

    Severance Pay Base Pay Question

You mention an LOD. Are you Guard or Reserve? If you are then you take the numnber of points divided by 360 and thats your years of service and it is formulated with base pay at the time of seperation. If you are AD then 12 yrs would be correct and in either circumstance it is the base pay at...

Sleep Apnea Not Ratable in 2014

I was found service connected for OSA based on the fact that a military doctor while I was on orders referred me for a sleep study in 2007. Nevermind the fact that I was never scheduled one and didn't know I was OSA until 2012. I am upset that for 5 years I could have died in my sleep. 5...

I was told, which I will believe it when it happens, that the severence is still tax free and that the "S" would only make me eligible for CRSC so I signed and accepted the findings. This IDES stuff has beaten me so badly that I don't care to fight anymore. I will regain my strength and...

Cobat Related coded as No instead of "S" for conditions simulating war. My understanding is that if it is an "S" then my severence is tax free but since it is a "No" then it is not. I got hurt during a deployment exercise and my orders, LOD, and medical documentation all stated this but they...

An Attorney urges Congress to end sleep apnea claims 'abuse'

Someone with sleep apnea can die in their sleep. I am proud Mr. Webster's dad was a tough guy and all but as bad it was for him to have lost an arm his loss of that arm wouldn't kill him while he was asleep or make him so dam tired the next day he would fall asleep at a red light on his way to...

NY Times Article: Veterans’ Reports of Lung Problems Set Off Debate

I saw a study a few months back out of Europe that said that the gases that come from firing a weapon lead to decreased lung function for as long as 24 hrs after shooting and that long term exposure can cause Asthma and other breathing related problems. Also in the study the tried the new lead...
