Ssdi -what do we need to know

So he does not need to elect Part B until one year out? He is only 90 va at the moment but apparently he is suppose to do a varr(?) before a year is up to have things adjusted or something. Still confused on all of this honestly, just learning as we go. He is medically retired and keeps his TriCare.

Sorry, another question. My husband was just approved for ssdi. What do we need to know? How does this affect TriCare? Does he have to get Medicare?

    Ssdi, crsc and VA disability

My husband was just approved for SSDI, gets VA disability and finally approved for CRSC. We were wondering how this works since all of this is tax free. He will start collecting CRSC and SSDI beginning in May. This year he got unemployment from Jan through April and had taxes taken out so we...

Where exactly on the VA information do you find out if permanent? And can some conditions be permanent and some conditions not?

    CRSC Denied please help!

I just helped my husband with submitting his yesterday and this has me worried we didn’t send ‘enough’ information. Can I ask where in HRC you look to see it is there so I can try to follow my husbands for him?

Question about rating for bilateral condition

I looked through the list and maybe they rated it bilaterally but just only mentioned one eye since the Left eye also has a second issue as well?.?. I just wasn’t sure if bilateral of the eyes is the same as like with his knees where he is rated separately for them and also the 1.9% bilateral...

Question about rating for bilateral condition

The c&p examiner is actually the one who found the condition and has in her exam that it is bilateral. It is listed in the narsum as well. There is a second separate condition in the Left eye that is only that eye so I’m just not sure if they only rate one thing per eye which I would understand...

Question about rating for bilateral condition

As I was helping my husband fill out his CRSC paperwork I noticed that his VA ratings had only his Left eye rated for a medical condition. I was certain I had seen it listed bilaterally and went back and found in the Narsum, C&P exam, and PEB paperwork (under non unfitting conditions) they all...

Is DD-214 and Doctor's Opinion Enough for CRSC?

My husband has looked and had someone else who ‘knew where to look’ to get him a copy of his CIB and the write up and no one seems to be able to locate it. We have a crappy copy he received forever ago and it was on his ERB and such so there is document however no one can seem to produce it as...

    TBI question

When my husband was going through the med board he claimed TBI and the c&p examiner didn’t seem to understand what he was saying about how/why he is claiming this (partial language barrier I think). So the c&p examiner said nope you don’t have one and it was listed in his ratings as ‘not propsed...

    Finally done with the board

My husband just finished in front of the board at Ft Lewis and they gave him permanent 40% neck AND back instead of the 20% initally unfitting for just his neck. He will get to be medically retired now. We are so excited... it was a fight but certainly worth it. Thanks to all the posts we’ve...
