I recently transitioned to the reserves after 9 years on active duty. I had several documented problems when I left active duty including my back and my hip. They have since gotten worse during my time in the reserves but there is no specific event during my time in the reserves that I could say caused the injury. Am I eligible for an MEB?

In your case, you can only be evaluated for an MEB based on the severity of your conditions at the time you left AD. Conditions that get worse after AD are no eligible for an MEB. The VA will increase a rating if your condition gets worse, DoD does not!
So if you medical records at the time of discharge indicate an unfitting condition you can have your records reviewed and your separation upgraded to medical retirement IF one or more unfitting conditions is rated 30% or more.
