Sharing my timeline and additional information as I continue on with the process. I felt like my case had some unusual twists. I personally found it helpful to be my own advocate and follow up often. Hopefully this helps!
17 July 2024 - Code 37 applied, notified by the PEBLO that they were building an IRILO package for knee instability. Was told that if I enter an MEB, to expect 6-9 months.
19 July 2024 - Received CIS from PEBLO.
23 July 2024 - CIS sent back to PEBLO.
07 August 2024 - IRILO package uploaded into Tricare Online.
13 August 2024 - IRILO package submitted to AFPC.
16 August 2024 - AFPC suggested CONCARE for 3 months as my case couldn't be dispositioned.
19 August 2024 - Notified by PEBLO of AFPC disposition. Was told to make as many specialists appointments as I could.
13 September 2024 - Notified PEBLO that I followed up on my care and was told that additional specialist visits were no longer necessary according to my PCM. Asked if we could push package back to AFPC. Also asked the process of adding Fibromyalgia since my PCM wanted to add it.
18 September 2024 - PEBLO responded, and said they would proceed with sending notes back to AFPC on knee, but that they Fibromyalgia condition required additional care.
25 September 2024 - Talked with my PCM, she said she was going to have PEBLO add Fibromyalgia. I sent an email on the same day to ask the PEBLO what the decision was.
26 September 2024 - PEBLO said that the decision was made to add Fibromyalgia.
07 October 2024 - Followed up with PEBLO to see if NARSUM was received for fibro.
09 October 2024 - PEBLO confirmed NARSUM was received.
10 October 2024 - New CIS sent to my CC for Fibro.
22 October 2024 - CIS recieved from CC, sent to PEBLO.
25 October 2024 - Followed up with PEBLO, asked when my package would be submitted back to AFPC. PEBLO followed up same day and said it was sent to AFPC.
28 October 2024 - AFPC directed full MEB.
29 October 2024 - PEBLO notified me of MEB. Had me fill out SHA assessment and additional documents. Documents sent back to PEBLO office.
04 November 2024 - Had an appointment with my PCM, she said that AFPC wanted my Chronic Autoimmune Urticaria added to my package since it was a med-boardable condition in the MSD as of the August 2024 update. I followed up with the PEBLO office about this in which I was told that my knee was already dispositioned by AFPC and that AFPC was focusing the med board around my Fibromyalgia and my Chronic Autoimmune Urticaria. *All my medical documents were uploaded into TOL.
05 November 2024 - Reviewed my FL4, noticed the diagnostic codes 5025 (Fibromyalgia) and 5009 - A (Arthritis - Other type). Called PEBLO to ask what the 5009 was for and asked about my knee since a clear answer was given. I was told that AFPC never gave the PEBLO office clear guidance on my knee and that they were focusing solely on Fibromyalgia and the Urticaria.
* Currently waiting on the VA MSC to reach out so that my exams can be scheduled. Per AFPC's comments on the FL4, they wanted to be in the PEB phase prior to 30 December 2024. Currently hearing that it can take quite awhile for the MSC to reach out, especially with them being located in the US.
