XxAntiHero625X,
This is approximately where I am at. I was put on MEB list Feb 2023. Our PEBLO quit, so nothing was done until mid-May 2023 after I asked a different provider for an estimated timeline. At that point they hadn't even started IRILO yet. AMRO board met late-May and recommended RILO. Code 37 was applied about a month later. Took a lot of assistance from Patient Advocate (highly recommend) to get dots connected and accurate updates passed to my command team. They were still running with outdated info from late January, despite my bi-monthly updates to my old Shirt and supervisor. Here we are 1 Aug 2023...NARSUM not yet submitted, but my new command team is awaiting official notification to submit their Impact Statement. Still haven't heard a peep from my PEBLO, but I make sure to reach out at least once a week and keep my own records. My key takeaways from this process: 1) don't assume things will be done automatically, 2) communication is highly inefficient and odds are that you have a better sight picture of the overall status than most individuals involved, 3) exceptions to policy are a catch-all to take as much time as desired (for them, not you), 4) research the process and stay informed through whichever means are available to you, and 5) PEBLO retention incentives and pay need elevated attention. Air Force/DoD/taxpayers are spending significantly more on delayed servicemembers' separations through continued salaries and benefits, time-in grade, promotions, high-36 increases, etc. than a modest increase in PEBLO funding. My personal opinion is that these delays can be a great benefit to many servicemembers, but it comes at a cost that I am sure many of the decision-makers would prefer to see spent in other places. Sorry for hijacking your post--I can post separately if the mods prefer. This forum has been the single most accurate source of gouge for me through this process, take that for what you will. My base (Tinker) is stating 6-12 months from their submission to AFPC until DOS. My best guess is that we're about a month out from submission at this rate, so 7-13 months in my circumstances. And this is for an unambiguous do-not-retain guidance from the MSD for multiple conditions. I had planned to appeal at the beginning of all this but seeing the objective MSD guidance and the lack of support from various supervisors, I think I'm ready to punch. I would hate to see what this looks like for a grey-area case. Hopefully Langley has a more efficient workflow and enough resources to process your case quickly or at least within DoD guidelines, if that is what you desire. Cheers
