As part of a class action settlement on December 28, 2020, the Army will begin an automatic review of Discharge Review Board decisions from April 17, 2011, to the date of the settlement that denied relief to thousands of veterans affected by military sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other behavioral health conditions.
In addition, veterans who were denied a discharge upgrade in a decision issued between October 7, 2001, to April 16, 2011, will be eligible to reapply for relief. Please pass it on to anyone who might benefit from it. I have attached a link to the Stars and Stripes article highlighting the settlement's key points for ease of review. This settlement is an amazing opportunity for veterans afflicted with these behavioral health conditions to have their discharges upgraded.
