I was just wondering if anyone had any information. I signed and accepted the formal boards recommendation back on the 21st of April. It was for 40% with permanent retirement. The question I have is does anyone have an average time I should expect to get my retirement orders. I have yet to recieve anything letting me know when it is going to be. My PEBLO has not been able to get any information from AFPC either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
What was the Formal Board like? How long did it take you to get a date from when you appealed your IPEB? How long were you there for? Was it intimidating? Can you please share your experience? Thank you.

I never actually meet with the formal board. When I went out there I was sent back to my homes station because they wanted some of my medical information reaccomplished. That was then sent back out to the board and they did what I was told was a summary hearing. They made the decision without me actually having to go back out to Lackland. When I appealed my IPEB it took a few weeks to get my date, but the date was around a month after that.
So you had to fly to Texas for them to tell you they were going redo you IPEB with more information? May I ask what you were boarded for? It's okay if you don't want to share that.
Yes when I went out there they told me they wanted my ROM test redone because it wasnt done with the standards they used. I didnt have to have my informal redone, they just redid the test and my summary and sent it back out to the formal board. ONce it was sent there I got a return date, but thankfully I talked to my lawyer who was assigned to me on the first trip and he was able to get a summary hearing on my package meaning I didnt have to go back. I got boarder for back issues. I had a lumbar fusion march 2010 and while it healped it didnt heal it completely. I still have pain and ROM issues.
