Can I apply with no discharge date?

I am being separated from the Air Force, with a General Under Honorable. All of their "misconduct" claims tie into my medical issues. They are trying to push me out NOW. Which okay, fine. But they still won't give me a date of separation. So I cannot insure my wife or myself. My question is, can I apply for VA disability (I have four diagnosed conditions, 2 being cardiac) without a separation date? It could happen at any time from what I am told. But I am going to bet its very soon.

With no discharge date you don't fall into the benefits delivery at discharge program.

If you have serious cardiac problems simple separation may not be in your best interest. Have you had a complete cardiac workup? They have a good heart program at SAMMC. You may want to ask for a second opinion.

Hello,

Yes I have been officially diagnosed with neurocardigenic syncope linked with sinus tachycardia. I black out regularly. My cardiologist wrote in his recommendation that I am no longer fit for duty (unfortunately is a civilian doc, not affiliated with AF). I spoke with patient advocate but he didn't seem to care about the diagnosis from cardiologist sadly
