This may have been asked before, but why is the CRSC process not included in the IDES Pipeline?

My thoughts on the matter:
—An individual must be in a retired status for CRSC eligibility
—CRSC is considered/approved after the award of VA compensation and by each individual service. As TXWI suggests, it could slow matters down.
—Most disability retirees do not qualify for CRSC
—Application materials
These might include:
  • Retirement orders.
  • 20-year letter or statement of service (for reservists)
  • Relevant pages in your VA or service medical record.
  • VA ratings.
  • Purple Heart award citations.
  • Retirement Form DD214.
I agree that it would be great if it could be part of the IDES processing...it does seem impractical though in my opinion.
