Thanks Ron for doing this for the community.

--High 3 ($3662.5), retired Gross pay on RAS is $1469
--I was approved for 40% DOD, which is $1469.
--I have 12 years and 7 months of active duty
--I receive 100% VA which is $3227.58 with a spouse.
--Approved 100% CRSC-- with spouse

Thanks again

GreenBeanie,

Thank you.

Case.

Estimate.

1. 3662.50 x 0.40 = 1465 (I'll use your 1469)
2. Retired pay is reduced to zero by 3227.58 VA comp
3. 12.583 years of AD x 0.025 = 31.46 longevity multiplier
4. 1469 gross RP/0.40 = 3672.50 high 3 used by DFAS
5. 3672.50 x 0.3146 = 1155.37 longevity portion of retired pay
6. CRSC approved by service = full waiver of 1469
7. CRSC payable = 1155.37 dollar amount of longevity portion of retired pay

Nice/excellent presentation of case by you.

Ron

Awesome,
I estimated it at 1144.

I'm sure I speak for everyone who frequents this thread, but again, thank you for the amount of time that you pour into this.

Matt,

"Awesome,
I estimated it at 1144."

Your high three was off that of DFAS by $10; otherwise you too would have computed 1155.

Good job,
Ron
