All of the following is needed for a CRSC estimate for a CH 61 retiree:

a. Current average high three base pay for retirement (OR gross retired pay from most recent DFAS RAS...indicate if this is your source)
b. Their approved DoD disability percentage
c. Years and months of active duty or active duty equivalent (for reserves/NG)
d. VA compensation percentage, amount, categories of dependents and the ages of dependent children
e. Approved CRSC percentage
f. If one qualifies for another type retirement, that information is necessary as well. Also indicate if you transitioned to the Blended Retirement System.

A. 1977 a month RAS
B. 50%
C. 8 years 5 months Active Duty
D. 100% VA 3770 a month. Married. 1 child under 18. 2 over 18. One is a helpless child.
E. 100% CRSC

Estimate based on the info you provided.

1. 1977/0.50 = 3954 high three
2. 3954 x 0.50 = 1977 retired pay, all offset by amount of VA compensation
3. 8.416 AD years x 0.025 = 21.04% longevity multiplier
4. 3954 x 0.2104 = 831.92 dollar amount of the longevity portion of retired pay; CRSC cannot exceed this amount

Based on your data, your CRSC is 831.92
